Why Does Anthony Get More Hate When He Actually Reached the WCF Unlike Paul?

Even Durant is getting more heat than Paul and he reached the Finals. If you are elite, you need to have reached at least the conference finals by year 9.

Because CP3 plays good defense.

Carmelo does not.

I think it's bc Paul's game revolves around passing, which is unselfish. Melo's game is dominating the ball and getting his.

I completely agree with the premise of this thread, just adding popular perception to it

thats the world we live in today. The best player on the planet, LBJ, is held to an impossible standard, despite being the best player in the world. Yet a guy like Kevin love is heralded a top 5-10 player, but has never played a post season game.

It used to be that MJ was the best, so you couldn't criticize him, bc he's the best. Now the best players get too much scrutiny and the average ones get too much credit. Kinda ironic

I thought this was going to be a wrestling thread for some reason. I think I read WCW.

There is also the belief that Chauncey Billups was the difference and leader in the season they made the wcf. Carmelo had either played really bad or had quit on the team at least once (the year Iverson was on the team).

The difference is Love is surrounded by crap and Paul has one of the deepest teams in the NBA. The Clipper bench is better then the Wolves starters.

meh the wolves have rubio who is a top 5 pg in the league and one of the last remaining true centers in petrovich or what ever his name is.

both of those are very good and are better than anyone else besides griffin and CP3 on the clippers

Anthony is a type of player that can carry a team and will them to a win in the 4th.

CP3's game is more on distribution and ball movement. He'll score, but down the stretch it isn't as easy for him to score as it is for someone like Durant, Anthony, or James who are just larger and more athletic.

Are we talking exclusively about Spanish point guards?

I'm convinced you're just trolling. You can't actually believe what you're saying. I'm not even sure rubio is too 1t to be honest with just how stacked the pg position is
