Are you the Messiah?
This was so beautifully put it HAS to be in the bible somewhere.

THIS!!! If my wife is off from work it would not cross my mind to call her to give her a list of chores do do since she's at home. She has no problem doing this to me, however. It's usually "Well, since your at home, you can do..."
This shite right here.
When my wife has a day off I am happy that she is getting to relax and play.
Give me a day off during the week? There's a list by the coffee pot of things to do.
It's like they are jealous that you have free time. I sure as hell don't begrudge her days off. Hell, I'm hoping she'll have some fun and lighten up some.

im reading a lot of griping from dudes who likely never spoke up and said anything.
It is YOUR responsibility to establish an equitable playing field. If you don't let the nagging start by standing up for yourself, then you'll all ride off into the sunset in most cases.
Seriously, go back and see how it unfolded......I'd be willing to bet you whiners own A LOT of the blame.
Women are complicated creatures and no one should expect them to act like men.....they aren't men. The ones most like men are whores.
Before bashing, be honest with yourself. Be accountable, gentlemen.

True.
And it took some time, but I figured that out. I finally spoke up and now she knows better. Her days off are her play time, my days off are mine.
One of the things that shut her trap was when I said "look, you know I'm probably going to do at least SOME of those things for you as a kind gesture withou the list. But, you drop that list on me and I won't want to do any of them."

I don't put up or give in to my wife's nagging. The fact that she does it at all brothers me.
The entire concept. I just don't look at her that way, I don't demand things of her every day. I don't operate from a position of authority, if she wants to take a break and put off her chores, that's totally fine. She's an adult and she can make her own decisions/mistakes.
The fact the women don't see it that way bothers me. When they nag, they operate from some position of authority, as if they know what's best, as if I can't be trusted.
It shows a lack of respect.
And I don't put up with it.

Agree. From my side of the fence, I would like a happy spouse.
Yes, it is not a good idea to talk to us males for awhile after we come in from work. We need a little time to decompress and switch gears.

No and stop asking me to take out the damn trash.

A generation or so ago in aircraft design, when computer development was beginning to take a bigger role in cockpit automation, some of the alerts/warnings that had historically been lights, horns, or bells, were augmented with a computer generated female voice to annunciate abnormal or emergency conditions, ex., "engine fire," "cabin altitude." After a few incidents/accidents resulting in consequences that were greater in magnitude than would be expected by the initial problem, it was determined that the conditions were being prolonged/exacerbated, because some of the initial aural warnings(nagging female voice,) were being ignored by the(male) pilots, thereby allowing the situation to compound before appropriate actions were taken. So there's one group of men that apparently don't enjoy it.

But the bed being made while I'm drinking coffee at 9:15 on a Sunday and in the middle of a show/article is not an emergency, we can do it the next time I get up, or we're about to leave, or whatever. As a comedian once put it, it's like something about an idle male just makes women go batshit crazy.
This. Yeah I forget to do little shite, but I'll get to it eventually. I don't mind the requests for me to do these things, just don't demand I do them immediately.
Also, it should work both ways. I'm usually the one who cleans the kitchen, so I request that she just help by at least rinsing the dishes. But of course, if I have to remind her of that, she has to remind me that I leave shite like shoes out and don't put them up.

Actually, during the morning trip at home, I am having coffee and running through my work e-mail from overnight - looking at what has to be done for the day and if there are any modifications in my office schedule for that day. I leave the bathroom with the day's gameplan.

Baloney
Women say they want a dominant man who will tell them how it's going to be.
Problem is, when men do stand up for themselves, women get offended, take their ball and go home. And by ball I mean p*ssy. That is literally the only reason women don't all have a bounty on their head.
Don't get me wrong, I love women, their company and a plethora of other things they bring to the table (no pun intended). But I'm betting most men wouldn't put up with half their shite if women didn't hold the power of the p*ssy.

I think the OP is mistaking "nagging" for "reminding".
Examples.
Reminding: Don't forget to move that thing before company comes over.
Nagging: Go move that thing now, because you're not going to remember and then you are going to have to move it while company's here and I don't want them seeing it right when they come in. Don't wait till the show's over, go move it now!
