Why would you be sure about that?
O right, LSU.

The talent is there, problem is Anthony rarely uses it. I'm actually very happy he went undrafted, teach his arse a lesson for taking games off.

Didn't underperform. He just isn't as great as people thought he'd be

Considering that at the young age of 15, he looked like a balding 40 y/o man with the physique of an Olympian, "Freak" was definitely an app nickname. He would later claim to break the virtually unverifiable national HS career sack record.
But he never lived up to the nickname in college. Which made me suspiciously rethink the Greek God muscles and the balding pattern at such a young age.
I'm not accusing him of Shawn Merriman-ing his way into a college scholarship, but the performance slide from HS dominance to college meh does make me consider the possibility much in the same way Merriman went from future HOFer to camp body in a couple of years once he stopped.
But not living up to expectations does happen to multiple 5-star recruits every year so underwhelming is not an indictment. And where would a 15 y/o get a hold of expensive prescriptions on a regular basis? It just doesn't add up.
I guess he was really just mediocre player with 5-star billing.

I'm very sorry he was so stupid to come out early.

He had no business coming out early. He's not a terrible player, but he's not great by any means.
All that being said, he may actually be a better 3-4 DE than he was a DT. I don't think we need to sign him. I'm just wondering if that may be a better career move for him.

Who advises these kids to leave early?
Even with Turner, they were saying if he would've came back, he was looking at 1st round possibilities

waiting risks not being drafted, like chris faulk. strike when the iron is hot.
what's the saying, one in the hand is worth 2 in the bush?

they blind these kids with dollar signs and many of them come from nothing and think the star life is in their grasp. They jump at the slightest opportunity now and it is starting to catch up. These stories of leaving early are starting to become less grand than when it blew up with the new structure of the contracts. The draft is being flooded more with early exit players increasing the pool of players in the draft leaving more and more of these players praying for a UDRFA call instead of getting drafted.

Agents have to be getting in our guys heads for them to continue this early leavkng. LSU needs figure out whats going kn. It is only hurting the players.

It's actually smart to leave early now and you'll see less and less players going back for their senior year regardless of their draft potential.
It's because the rookie wage cap. A players money now comes in their second contract whether you are a 2nd rounder or UDFA. So the faster you get to the second contract, the faster you get your money.

A couple more example like Freak and hopeful success stories like Collins coming back will help.
