Luke Bryan wrote the song "Dirt Road Diaries", which we all know was written about Red Dirt Roads. He's also from Leesburg, Georgia which is the only known part of Georgia to have Red Dirt...It also cites Toby Keith as a major influence in his life.
The Band Perry was discovered by Garth Brooks' manager, Bob Doyle. Garth Brooks is from Oklahoma

As the quasi-unofficial voice of the Music Board, I'd like to formally welcome you. You seem like a great fit and the happy medium to buffer between the jamband and reddirt genres.

Listen, just because you don't like Red Dirt country does NOT mean you can come in here and proclaim that Red Dirt Country is making a vast and eclectic board "shite".
You are probably just some pretentious jam band kid that doesn't expand his musical taste and embrace country and jam

I have no idea what this list even means, could someone please elaborate?

Toby Keith...the godfather of Red Dirt Country
Tier 1 includes Luke Bryan.
If this was allowed on the OT, 50+ pages.

This thread is great. I have learned about a bunch of new, cutting edge artists. I think I am going to dose and trip out to Mickey and the Motor Cars tonight.

Explain to me why he shouldn't be on this list?
He had humble beginnings as a self starter, alt-country guy in 2007. Since then, he has become one of the premiere acts in Red Dirt Country and is a great ambassador for the genre. He's put Red Dirt Country on the map
Posted on 5/8/14 at 10:39 am to Marc Brownstein
Is Red Dirt even on the map? Where are all the red dirt fans?
Posted on 5/8/14 at 10:39 am to Marc Brownstein
Because he sings Nashville pop music.

With a Red Dirt twang.
Red Dirt is just a subset of Nashville Country...At the end of the day, it's all Nashville country

This thread is hilarious
Completely inaccurate and ridiculous, but full of win. And this is coming from a Red Dirt fan.
