Byronz is one of the places I eat at the most in BR, but the service can be unpredictable. Sometimes it's impeccable. Other times I'm pretty sure my waiter is half retarded.

Started in BR and has expanded to Shreveport and Mandeville.

Hate to hear that about the Shreveport location- they've never been known for their quick service up there, but the food is always good and most of the drinks are fantastic... They can't make an old fashioned to save their life!

Turkey burger, bistro bomber, shrimp Louie FTW.

Wasn't the original located on college drive in the area where Coffee Call is? I just seem to remember going there as a kid when traveling through BR and having sandwiches and filling up bags of candy.

That aside, I'm pretty sure they are opening up a second location in BR down from Perkins Rowe.

Nope. The actual original was on S Eugene at Government St, sort of across from BR High. It was a really neat little sandwich spot that later expanded to Village Square, and maybe another location or two, only to shut down and reappear 20 years later as this current odd incarnation.

When I lived in BR it was a great place for a work lunch. But my office was 5 minutes away.

I did enjoy the roast for lunch and every customer I brought there enjoyed it. The talent was top notch when I would visit. Cant speak on it now.

My review - if convenient, you cant go wrong. But dont talk it up like it's the end all.

I think Village Square was the only one in BR after Eugene. The family closed it and moved to Shreveport for some reason and opened there. Then came back here to Govt Street. It's the Kantrow family. And a second BR location is being build now in the retail, office building in the front of Willow Grove at Perkins and Oak Hills Prkwy.

So all of their food is just heated up premade food?

Never said that. I believe the word I used was mostly. Next time your there, ask your server where their delicious pot roast comes from. If say I'm wrong, I'll gladly apologize

Directly from a friend who works there

Like some soups are premade and heated up but most of the stuff is fresh. We have people here at six and seven in the am cooking

And that soup part is pretty much normal protocol for a restaurant
