Sterling is right at the good ole boy racism. He'd probably walk out of a Klan meeting that's too hard core. But he'd be the one cracking jokes about black people at the country club.

Pretty much like everybody I know.

In his will he gives ownership to the KKK as a final frick you to the NBA

I know this was said in jest but the NBA has to approve his buyer, another reason why this isn't simply his "private property."

There are so many reasons why using the "private property" line is just being uninformed.

This is just like the Joe Paterno situation. Once Paterno got fired, he died not even two months after from cancer. I think the same thing will happen to Sterling. He will end up dying in the next 2-3 months, guaranteed.

I've heard an interesting take on the whole situation. Usually the process to sell a franchise takes years, with the NBA almost forcing a sell to a particular person. What better way to speed up the process than the release of the tape that came out?

Don't feel like starting a new thread, if he is forced to sell the team does he still have to pay the 2.5 million dollar fine?

Stress was probably a bigger factor in Paterno's death.

Me might. He's a businessman and his tem will never be worth more than it is now. The longer he keeps the team, the less it will be worth.

How?

If hes being forced to sell, it will artificially set the market price low

If hes able to keep from being forced out, he gains leverage because selling is not mandated. Thus the price goes up.

I hate when journalists f*ck up irony. It's not that hard. And words are their job.
