Barring anything unforeseen, our secondary has the potential to really be special.....like Seahawks special:
Jairus Byrd
Kenny Vaccaro
Marcus Ball
Rafael Bush
Keenan Lewis
Patrick Robinson?
Corey White?
Can't wait to see this group play.

I love what I've been seeing from some of these guys, mainly Lewis and Bush, this offseason. Working in sand pits, strengthening their cardio (which I thought was an issue for Lewis at times last season), and just grinding daily; has me pretty pumped to see them play this season.

I don't know how deeper the safety position can be. Definitely need some more talent at the CB position, although what we have isn't bad.

I know right? I'm anxious to see the Marcus Ball kid play. I know it was "highlight" video, but his vid on youtube was pretty legit. The dude looks like he can play.

now it makes sense. the problem with your stance is that we have only 1 sure thing at CB. While we are definitely stacked at S, CB is still a premium for the secondary to be great

Canada players are interesting. They have to deal with the field being wider. The linemen have to line up one yard off of the ball. I think that helped Hicks with his get off, seeing as he was use to having to cover more ground quicker.
Could you image Jenkins on a CFL field?

I love your optimism, but I don't have quite the positive you do for White and Robinson. Prove me wrong, fellas.

Hence my use of the word "potential".

White played better than most people think. Robinson showed in 11 that he could be a good #2 corner. The QB rating throwing at him that year was in the 50's. Of course we switched to a zone scheme the year after with some of the worst safety play ever.

Don't forget about AJ Davis. He was looking like a player last year before he got IR'd w/ undisclosed injury.

Like I said, though, I hope I'm proven wrong on those two.

Champ Baily, bro. How can you forget him.

Yeah, health is a question mark. Ability isn't to me.

I don't know about that. I don't even know if the Seahawks can replicate what they did last year.
However, with an improved pass rush and solid inside LB play, they can help each other be great. I think this D can be special. If only the O can stop falling into these phases of ineffectiveness.

I'm with you on Robinson. White looks to have some talent but may take a little longer to develop into the position. Both are up in the air, but I don't think Robinson will be effective. I too hope I am wrong

look at whitie getting all up in that mug.

Corey White in man coverage is dispicable. I don't see how anyone has any hope for him. Hope he proves me wrong in the future, but he is just terrible in man.

Delusional.
I am very excited about this secondary. I believe Robinson will be a fine #2 sharing snaps with Bailey. White will man the nickel spot, and do it WELL. Not at all worried.
Our insane DL is going to make them look even better. And honestly if I had to guess I'm sure we will play a LOT of single high safety with Byrd and whoever is our #2 will get help from him.

I think we'll see some 3 safety sets, which will take pressure off of at least one cb. And besides, if we can at least all agree our safeties will be legit, then that "should" automatically help our cb's
