I think they were bad, but the response is insane. I just heard on the news that he's been proven "guilty" of making racist comments to his girlfriend. It's crazy to fine someone millions of dollars and take their property and their job because of comments they made to their girlfriend in private.

As others have said, there are plenty of prominent figures in sports and entertainment who have said and done far worse things without this kind of total societal campaign against them.

This. I mean, it's like how far can we go before we just say kill the man?

Mob mentality on top of faux racial outrage.

On top of that are the people who want to use this as though it's some defining moment in the history of our country.
