What kind of reaction would that get? I understand the tickets are already sold so it wouldn't hurt him that much financially, but it would be a pretty awesome protest.
Or what if nobody showed up until the 2nd quarter?

a no show hurts the team more than anyone. I would say pack the place wearing all black would be much better.

The fans would only be harming themselves since as you said tickets have already been sold.

In the end though it's pretty simple, if you're offended by this man's comments you have the most basic of ways to show that. You do not have to purchase a thing from him and if enough people do this he will eventually be forced to make a change and leave the team behind. Otherwise let the old man be with his thoughts in private.

OH MY GOD AN OLD WHITE MAN IS RACIST BEHIND CLOSED DOORS?

I don't think I know an old white man who isn't racist behind closed doors. Is Donald sterling a shitty person? Obviously. But this tape is SO overblown

People want this to play out like a movie so bad. Where the bad guy gets stood up against and we show him!
Its real life. Very little will change and it won't effect us. In 2 weeks we will have the next forced apology and barely talk about this. And is there anything better than making someone say sorry? They completely mean it and never trying to say whatever they can to make people move on.

The fans should show up for their TEAM not the owner...they need to support their players that are trying to bring their fans a championship

Lol you don't get it I guess. Look I'm a white guy too so I've never really experienced racism, but things like this are a big deal. Imagine if you heard your boss talking about how he thinks you are a lesser person because of where you were from? He pretty much admits that he thinks he's above black people because.
I do think this girl did this for attention, fame, and money, but what he said is not ok

Were you clamoring for a boycott a week ago?...Donald Sterling being racist isn't news at all.

Imagine if you heard your boss

They chose to sign a professional contract to play for a team run by a man who has held openly racist views for decades now. A man who asked a potential coaching candidate how he plans on "handling the n...s"...30 years ago.

Keep it faux, bro.

How much interaction do you think these players have with their owner? I'd imagine it to be minimal, especially if he feels that way about some of them.

I would also believe these players if they wanted to would be able to get out of their contracts citing a hostile workplace or something along those lines.

No way would that grievance be turned down with the sympathy coming out about this situation.

Is it a bigger deal than Dan Gilbert handing out subprime loans and mortgages and destroying the economy? Or the Orlando magic owner openly being against gay marriage?

Have you listened to the tape? Sterling is drunk off his arse, and someone he trusts is baiting him into saying incriminating shite. If I had to guess how many people on this site have said at least borderline racist/ignorant things behind closed doors I'd put it at at least 75%.

Is what he said bad? Yes. Is it offensive and racist yes? Is sterling an offensive and racist person? Again yes.
But people like Kenny Smith on TNT was comparing this clippers team to Jackie Robinson and. Muhammad Ali.

I mean Jesus. Those guys had people calling them N words from the stands, on the streets, they weren't allowed the same rights as white people, a lot of the country hated them. Blake griffin and Chris Paul have two of the biggest national endorsements in the country, as soon as news of this tape broke everyone and their mom immediately took up arms against sterling and supported the clippers. I just have a problem with the narrative that this tape is going to set civil rights in this country back 50 years unless something huge is done
