I wouldn't watch it much less pay for it. Those bullfighters that stick swords in bulls piss me off. I'm routing for the bull to put a horn in their arse.

I would only pay if it was Mike Tyson against Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi or maybe Hillary.

Treat it like the WWE and you'd have a gold mine.
Traveling shows where trained and lethal gladiators fight a few criminals sentenced to death. Make it a weekly free program that comes on once a night. Build story lines between gladiators for when you have a PPV event.
Then have a once a month PPV for $50 and regular ticket prices like any major event. The point is to appeal to the masses, not the upper crust who can afford $2,000 tickets.
Then once a year have Gladiatormania for $70 on PPV and in a major city. Have Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler on commentary and you, my friend, will have happiness.

That would be a billion dollar industry. Successful gladiators would be huge celebrities. It would easily put MMA and boxing out of business

If they fought/battled/gladiated to the death, I would actually be willing to pay the very high PPV prices. I'd probably go $200, if it included a few undercards.

How about a bull vs the non trained sicko?

Y'all are all fricked up.

I imagine a world where a billionaire sets up a fight-to-the-death tournament where every loser's (i.e., KIA) family gets a consolation prize - say, $100,000; a life insurance bonus of sorts, to entice noble, family-oriented poors to enter - and the winner gets $100 million. Or, hell, $1 billion. The tournament would involve 64 (or 128 or 256, whatever) entrants and would take place over the course of one year, during which time fighters would have access to whatever training facilities and coaches they needed, all paid for by the tournament sponsor. An annual subscription to the fight channel could be made for $100 and could be watched anywhere in the world.
If that were the case, you'd only need 10M subscribers worldwide to cover the $1B prize. This thing would easily generate an enormous profit.

Noble, family-oriented people don't enter fight-to-the-death gladiator matches.
Especially for 100k, unless you are talking third world people.

I would EASILY for $100 for this type of tourney if the guys were all jacked trained fighters, not just some bums or skinny Africans.

Gladiators rarely fought to the death.
In fact, they were more like WWE players.
