Papa Loston had sick ball skills and loved the contact. Don't care what people say about him not wrapping up and lack of coverage skills, dude was a playmaker though and made some incredible highlight hits over his career.

I hope he's healthy, you could tell at the end of the season he was playing injured.

Agree with all of that except the sick ball skills. Decent ball skills at best.

That said, IMO Loston has a shot to be a better pro player than a college guy. And I dont think he underachieved at LSU. He was just always hurt early on and it stunted his development. But he has great size and can run and hit with the best of them. If used the right way, he could be a really solid NFL player. He can wreck havoc. At worst, hes a great special teamer.

Big fan of Loston

Man, dude is a viscous hitter

One of the best punishers/eliminators we've had. His tackles reminded me of mathieu sometimes when he's just blow up peoples ankles.

This thread makes me miss football. Loston came to LSU at the same time I did and it's weird to think that the team is going to be 100% different next year than it was my freshman year.

He is gonna have some nice highlights blowing up RB in those little swing patterns that are popular in the NFL

I would have LOVED to see him play before the new rules. He would have left a trail of bodies similar to LaRon Landry.

That kid for Moo State. Was his name Zach Smith? Poor kid got leveled by LaFell in '07, then Loston almost knocked him out of his shoes in '09.

He plowed down Lionel Breaux (Ole Miss) in 2010. I saw him running at him from all the way down the field.

Guy could definitely bring it. I wish him well. He hung in there and was always dedicated to the school and the fans.
