Yeah, because the big government you do love so much would never meddle in the lives of others.

I hope none of you were hoping for a blowjob tonite.

No it doesn't. The law is unconstitutional and charges can't stick. The law is doing nothing.

it will be abused by cops anywhere even if the charges don't stick
You think repealing this law will stop cops from arresting whomever they wish for whatever they want? Let's not be naive.

It really is sad that we still have stupid politicians who have to pandor to stupid backwoods idiots.
Now slick joe can go to his townhall meetings with the rednecks and blue hairs and say he helped keep them gays from taking over our great and moral state.

In the end Louisiana is not going to have any say in this. The Supreme Court is going to legalize gay marriage nationwide in the next few years.

It shows the lengths politicians will go to to get in a cheap shot in against people they don't like. It's stupid, meaningless, and petty. Oh, and it applies to you and your wife. Whether or not it's enforced is not the linchpin of the debate; it is an area that shouldn't be legislated.

Yet another example of the hypocrisy of the "party of smaller government." I have really come to hate both of our major political parties.

Why in the fricking frick do you care what two consenting adults are doing in the privacy of their own bedroom.
So Rob, you ok with business not serving gay weddings?
I just wonder how much your really like freedom, or is it only the freedom that aligns with your morals.

Religion and Government both want to control what you do. They want to make it illegal for you to do things that disagree with or think is immoral. They both want to take away your liberty and freedom.
As far is government goes this goes for both dems and publicans, they just have different views on what they should make illegal.
For all the talk about liberty and freedom I find very few that really believe that. Very few that are willing to say, I think it is wrong what you do or want to do, but I support your right to do it.

Is anyone really surprised by this?
I mean, Louisiana has a reputation to uphold.
Amirite?

Totally and completely irrelevant. There's no law in Louisiana saying private businesses can't refuse service based on sexual orientation.
There is, however, a criminal law saying that two consenting adults cannot have oral sex in their own bedroom.
I get that some of you think there are more important things going on and this is a waste of time, but the fact is this bill was brought before the legislature. The vote was going to happen so your 'waste of time' argument is moot. They could have just as easily voted to repeal the bill as they did when voting to keep it.

I asked rob this question because he was recently supporting such a law in AZ.
Mick, I am opposed to religion and government telling people what they can and cannot do because others find it offensive.
I do not think it should be illegal, just as I do not think businesses should be required to cater to them when they get married.
I am sure there will some that think it is bad when it is illegal to commit these acts, but is ok with it being illegal not catering to gay weddings. Those people are hypocrits.

We agree then. I've battled with the whole private business discrimination thing but in order to be consistent with my ideals, I'd have to say that they should be allowed to serve or not serve whoever they want.
If the business is government subsidized or contracts with the government, my opinion may differ.

Thanks be to our legislators, protecting our rights and such. (Yeah, friggin right )

No worries, the Legislature is dealing with really important things now too. Like making the Holy Bible the official state book (also unconstitutional but clearly they don't think they have to listen to federal law anymore).

We can't deal with an unconstitutional law that resulted in people getting arrested but we can deal with unconstitutionally making the Holy Bible our state book?

It's all a waste of time. Neither of those issues are important to me.
