Not answering a vital business question which may not can wait til monday is a "priority in order?" How lazy are you?

If it's that vital the employee will probably answer it. What this prevents is peoples jobs completely dominating their lives, which is what a lot of people in this country experience. I work my arse off when I'm in the office , but I also expect to have time to unplug and pursue other interests. In modern America this is becoming more and more difficult and some people have the gall the scoff at such a desire. If you want to spend every waking moment on call to your job that's fine I guess but don't project that on to me.

We chose our profession.

Excuse me if I'd like to get paid for my hard work.

What a crock, i will answer the phone any time my boss calls not because i bow at his feet but because if he is calling me on the weekend them it must be important and i take pride in my work and in my company. This isn't about Lomburgh wanting Peter to work on the weekend and use the proper TPS cover sheets ..... Frickin lazy people , all it is

It doesn't. But if someone needs a key and it's vital to the business, It wouldn't bother me in the least. I can't understand the type of mentality that wouldn't be bothered by fricking their business over because they don't want Saturday morning cartoons interrupted to answer a simple question.

If this is such a good idea, why did they need a law to enforce it?

Here is a clue.

Run your own business. Your thought process on this board indicates you think businesses are run by mean ol people. So start your own.

Life is hard when you are a whiner.

Because people are too stupid to figure out for themselves if they want a job to "dominate" their lives? What would we do without the government?

Oh, and hope you don't need anything on a Sunday or after a certain hour, because if you do, you're out of luck, unless you live near a tourist spot. For some reason the "Man" has figured out that tourists sometimes need medicine, or batteries on Sundays, so they let certain businesses open on Sunday.

Gawd I'm glad my great-grandfather left France.

"Don't project that on to me."
Well that's just fine, but does the reverse apply when you want to confiscate larger portions of my income simply because I choose to work harder?
