This has a little bit to do with the Astros sucking balls, and a lot to do with Comcast being scum.

It's both sides fault for putting together an impossible deal

Yep. When you're only allowing 40k people to watch the channel and 35k of them are at work.......
What do you expect?

Sounds like all 40k of them were at work Monday.

You really do have a serious case of the red arse, don't you?
Hopefully with time, you will heal.

Yes I do. they are not being aggressive enough to make the team competitive. if they truly cared about the fans there would be a deal. their product is shite yet they want to hold the cable companies over a barrell. they are not the yankees or red sox. if this was 2005 they would have leverage. they have a AA roster playing at MMP.

Would you be happy with a Padre's type TV deal?

Don't worry, Ryno.
I'm sure Ludlow is just gonna trade all the prospects away and we'll never see anything positive in the organization again.

Pretty sure it's more like 500k and 350k, but same thing. This CSN deal is bullshite.

Prom, they will be lucky if 3or 4 of the minor league guys really pan out to be more than average big leaguers in the next two years. can't put all egggs in that basket.

Seriously, what do you base this expert statement on? I'm not one of those "link???" type of guys when someone says something. But you seem to like to take every single point of view and make up crap to make your point.
It's obvious, you no longer like the Astros. You don't like the players. You don't like the ownership. You don't like the administration. You don't like that Astros. Period.
So, why not just buy a fricking Braves cap and start threads about how awesome the Uptons are playing??

settle down. I want the team to win. they aren't currently doing enough. I want to see them do well. they are not. I'm not going to put lipstick ont he pig. I hope everyone of our prospects turns out to be the next Griffy Jr but reality is a very low percentage of those guys ever make it.

Sure, some of the bigger names like Singleton won't pan out. But then you'll always have smaller names who end up being better than you expect (Fontana, Tucker, etc.)
Where else besides the farm should the Astros put their eggs? The FA market is not very inviting for a team this far out from competing. did you want them to sign Cano? What about Granderson? 1 year of Tim Hudson? none of those guys help this team.
Just keep drafting well and see where the prospects fall.

to add to this, the international market has been awesome recently regarding pitchers on the cheap. See Yu Darvish, Hyun Jin Ryu. However, the Tanaka contract fricked that. THe next Japanese pitcher to post will probably be Kenta Maeda. He doesn't have near the upside of Tanaka or Darvish. I'd bet he can be had for 8-10 mil AAV. Wouldn't be a bad deal to get a Darvish type package for him IMO.

How's that Feldman and Fowler signings working out so far? Improved the bullpen.
Yeah, that's only a few, but you really expect them to sign 4-5 TOP NOTCH FA's this year?
What do you honestly WANT them to do at this point? What direction could they go? Sign Cano? lulz
