I have a Catahoula and they are great dogs. Yes they are hyper when they are young. But I find it pretty funny that people are saying dont get a Catahoula because they are crazy, but then suggest collies, heelers, and BMCs 
. All sporting dogs are going to be nuts when they are young. From my experience, a Catahoula is as good as any other of those breeds. P.S., they are no longer considered Curs

This is my catahoula and "his" boy. Those two are best friends
This is the only good one I have that shows his markings, those on his chest are all he has besides his toes being white too
