Remember when people say average on the OT they really mean like "90th percentile or better". By average high school basketball team people probably mean a team playing in the highest division in a fairly large city with a 500 conference record.

About two levels below men if the teams are equally good at those levels.
WNBA = HS Varsity Boys
College Women = JV Boys
HS Varsity Girls = Freshman Boys
JV Girls = Middle School Boys
WNBA = HS Varsity Boys
College Women = JV Boys
HS Varsity Girls = Freshman Boys
JV Girls = Middle School Boys

i've played against LSU women and it opened my eyes. they weren't simone augustus, but my fat arse could run with them on spirnts

i really don't think y'all realize how badly a 6-5 male with decent athleticism and skills would dominate the WNBA down low

If the WNBA team had to use the larger and heavier men's ball they would be lucky to make a 3 point shot and wouldn't be able to pass the ball as far or as fast as they can with the smaller and lighter women's ball.
Also, it's a lot harder to make a basket with the larger men's ball.
