Colston had his lowest output since 2008, when he missed 5 games.
Lance Moore was non existant most of the season.
Still was great in his role, but was a gadget player in year 1.
Meachem was otherwise worthless.

Bottom line IMO we need playmakers at WR if we want to take that next step.
agree.
but I think part of the reason the offense had slumps here and there is because they didn't have a consistent ground game until the end of the season.
that was definitely the case on the road (Jets, Rams games).
just got into a slugfest with the Jets who were angry team coming off an embarrassing loss to the Bengals and overlooked the Rams again for some incredible reason.
although both of those teams have stud D-lines.

I think the whole team needs to play well in order to be successful next year. In fact, I'd say our season depends on it, but I'm sure you will have an objection.

But wait, let's leave out a huge part to make our argument make sense. Yay!
Im not trying to win an internet argument.
Learn how to have a discussion without turning it into a pissing match and these threads wouldn't be full of people arguing.

I'm not making it a pissing match. People want to pick part of what I say and make it the whole thing. How about learn how to read and comprehend the whole thing and not make an argument out of nothing?
And yes I know this can be hard when most of my posts are longer than The Art of War. Sorry, geez.

Everyone agrees with that, yet no one is listening.

I wouldn't even say there is an immediate need at WR. Colston was still very good(despite what most say about him), Stills is definitely only going to improve and become fully legit, and between Morgan, Toon, and Tanner(lol to most I know) we'll have options for a third target.

but everyone is making it out to be like the cupboard is bare and we are desperate.

Actually, going back to last year, we were in a worse(not by much) position at WR.

I'm saying we would be okay IF(and we won't) went into the season as is.

Or it could be because we have one of, if not the best, pass catching TEs ever, along with two of the best pass catching HBs ever.
someone said all of these things. js.

Now let's all have a pissing match about who's making this a pissing match

I can't believe this shite is still going.

i guess its easy to get involved when someone says "our WRs are good, but really, we need help there".

Okay so point out where I said our receivers are great and don't need to be upgraded.
All of those things make perfect sense of you don't take pieces of it and turn it into crap I'm not saying.
Immediate is the key word in the first one, along with need. I never said we shouldn't look a WR or that we couldn't upgrade, just that we'd be fine.
Nothing wrong with the second one at all.
Third one is true because it's the same people minus Moore and plus Stills heading into each draft. So unless you consider Stills a downgrade, that is a factual statement.
Fourth one again the key word is okay. Never said we'd be great or we shouldn't upgrade.
Fifth one again nothing is wrong and it's factually correct.
So what in the frick is your point?

the fact that you think any of those statements are defendable is laughable. Except the last one.

But whatever makes you feel comfortable. Like I said, it's all black and white to you.

ok. Well that's why this is 7 pages. since everyone is so shocked.
Posted on 4/6/14 at 6:43 pm to Lester Earl
So you are saying Colston is not good and/or that he didn't have a good year? And you think Stills won't be even better next year?
After that is where I agree we can definitely improve upon, but 1 and 2 are good. Overall we are okay.
But I can see where your black and white thinking means that we are only good or bad.

The top 2 are viable, but there isn't much behind them.
Yes, i would call them Okay as a unit. Not good or bad.

So again you purposefully take something I say and turn it into something I didn't say for the sake of just starting an argument even though once again we exactly agree in where we stand.
Bravo.
Bravo.
