Goddamn, y'all are making me feel like I should reconsider my wanting to go to LSU to get my master's. I just can't see paying out-of-state tuition when in the end, it'll probably end me up in roughly the same place in terms of a career.
Then again, I went to a state school with 40k+ student enrollment and a horrible 1970s-era library, so maybe I won't be in for any surprises.
This is the only picture I could find of it:
There's probably a reason for that.

It really really is. If you want to see a beautiful library, go inside of Hill Memorial Library if you get the chance. It's a gorgeous old classic library, but it's way too small to be the main library.

I like LSU football and support the team and all, but they could have spent that stadium upgrade money elsewhere. Tiger stadium was fine as is.

I am really suprised at the number of folks that say the size of LSU bothered them...I think it was larger when I attended than it is now and I never saw it as a problem...

It was definitely larger in the early 90s and 80s. However, I think average class sizes were smaller back then as well.

I'm not sure what people expect in class size when they go to college. I may be opposite of most but the smaller the classes got the less I liked it. I prefer being an anonymous face in the back of the crowd. Hard to do that in a 20 person class. 200 person class you could walk out the back at the right time and nobody would even notice.

The expansion was an investment. It will pay for itself and bring in a ton of more money with all the suites it added in the long term

7 pages and not one person said the UREC? Fatties.
Also, to the admin for banning that annoying loser who obviously has too much time on their hands.

I don't recall hearing any proposals to upgrade that building
I believe they are still formulating a plan but it will be renovated (sorry to bear bad news for you demolition fans).

I had a bunch of classes with 10 or less people. Even spent 6 months living with the teachers at a camp. If we didn't show up for class, they wouldn't start and would call us(while keeping it on speaker phone in front of everyone) to see why we weren't there
I liked that exponentially more than my 350+ student classes

I bet they still won't do anything to the outside, huh?
It looks so bad. Boring square windows with light pee-yellow bricks and burnt orange tile. This isn't the '50s anymore!

Kind of late to the party but people complaining about large class sizes should gtfo. It's not the university's fault that you are lazy and don't do shite on your own.
The larger classes I was in at lsu (let's say 400+) were the easiest I took at LSU.

Yep. Middleton is a complete joke for an institution the size of LSU. A new library needs to be at the top of the list.

It's not about them being too difficult, it's about them not being quality classes. Did the students really learn anything of value? Were they able to interact with the professor? Was the student left better educated than they entered?
I can honestly say that in a few of my large lecture-style classes that I enjoyed them and learned a lot (Human Geography, Chem 1&2, and History of Jazz), but most of them were really really awful (Geology 1, Accounting 1&2, Bio, Econ, ISDS, ect)

Slightly agree with you there. But, how many classes do you actually remember stuff from in your actual jobs after college. For me, I'm thinking two, maybe three tops. Most classes are bullshite requirements.
