Hey, in 2 weeks my SO and I will be flying to honolulu for a stay at Waikiki beach. I have stayed in Hawaii and Seattle before as a kid, but my SO has not. Right now we have most if the usual stuff planned climb diamond head, snorkel hanauma bay, visit north shore , a luau , Pearl Harbor , and also doing a shark cage tour. Any other ideas for us and does anyone know some good local places to eat?

Once we leave Honolulu we are flying to Seattle for two nights to catch a mariners game, and also check out the space needle , pikes market etc. for those who maybe went for huskies game...what's the best bar in downtown? Any other ideas for the day in downtown?

Appreciate the suggestions

Dont get suckered in to the whale watching trip in seattle. The stuff you mentioned is pretty much all you should do, unless you have time to climb Mount Ranier.

Consider snorkeling in Sharks Cove instead. Usually much less crowded, and when you're done, you're already on the North Shore.

Haleiwa Joe's is a good place. Kind of kitschy and touristy, but it's Oahu. What isn't?

edit- don't forget to hit the nude beach.

You got the North Shore covered, don't hurry it. I would recommend the Dole Plantation, there is a fun maze that you and the girl should check out.

If you're going to be in the Market in Seattle, visit the Alibi Room. It is a little dark but my favorite there. Also ask about the ZigZag, it is in that area but hard to find and good for a drink.

ETA: The food is good at the Alibi and sit at the bar.

You've got most of it. Visit the Dole Plantation, and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (think Arlington inside a massive volcanic crater).
