I can't see Lewis "blanketing" many #1 receivers, maybe Jacksonville's #3
I saw this in the comments on the ESPN article. Tell that to Desean Jackson, dumbass.

After a hard tough day at work, this is the kind of news I needed. Even if he isn't what he was, he's got to be great depth and experience.

From Watlerfootball:

Saints sign CB Champ Bailey (2 years, $7 million): A- Grade
This is a very good signing. Sure, Champ Bailey struggled this past season and was torched in a playoff loss the preceding January, but he was pretty banged up in 2013. He's capable of rebounding and playing like a solid No. 2 cornerback at the very least, though it's almost certain that we'll never see the old Bailey again.
Of course, there's a chance that Bailey will continue to struggle. If so, who cares? The Saints gave him a pretty small contract worth $7 million over two seasons, so they're not risking very much. This is a savvy move for a team trying hard to win now.

Come on over Bunkley.
Falcons will need a backup NT.

#Saints CB Keenan Lewis chimes in on Instagram: It's going to be a honor to learn from one of the best, I would learn as much as possible.
We keep thinking Bailey can teach White/PRob, but if he can actually improve Lewis, watch out.

In your dreams asswipe. The hummingbirds are just about as up against the cap as the Saints.

We have over 8 million in free cap space.

Still should take a cb in the 1st or 2nd imo

please ignore that man. we dont claim him as our own. but he is a bonafide "brainiac"

Still pissed about yall getting Byrd and Bailey. He will fit in a lot of schemes in Ryan's defense. Guess it is safe to assume now that yall will not be trying to retain Bush at least.

Its all in the numbers yall offered

probably not. the defense looks incredible. Payton is definitely going back to his '09 formula as much as possible. I think its almost a lock that we take a WR in the 1st. could still take a cb in the 2nd though.

I still think yall go cb in the 1st.
One, giving a rookie a year or two being mentored by one of the best CBs of all time is a great thing.
Also, Champ last year had his playing time reduced to a nickel corner. I can see yall keeping him there, and also playing him as a safety along with Byrd and KV.

yeah i mean its probably still a toss up. maybe not so much a lock like i just said. but with all these FA signings on defense, i feel Payton will pick the best WR available for his offense.
but with any draft, guess you have to see the value of whos available when you pick. i love falcon fans assuming champ will automatically be on julio. more than likely that would be keenan lewis

Don't be sure. If the 6.6 mil over 3 years is true, I see us matching it.
As for Champ Bailey. Not hating the pick up but I gotta say it. I liked the Champ Bailey of old a lot more than the old champ bailey. Hope he still has something left in the tank. Put me in the 50/50 camp, hopefully optimistic.
