BTW - That is not a knock on you. I could be the one being dumb and naive here. But I do not believe I am.

I'm not convinced you even understand the data yet.

Despite whether it's good for the whole of the country, which could certainly be debated, the point here is that this results in a direct loss of competitiveness for places like Baton Rouge. It simply defies economic sense, but that's to be expected when you put quantitatively-challenged idealists in positions of power.

Continually pushing a higher min wage is a great way to end up with self serve checkout lines at fast food places. At some point the cost becomes economically feasible.
