We are now firmly holding onto last place in the SEC West...
Maybe that will light the fire under these kids.
It is baseball and all is not lost but this weekend was painful to watch.
Time to sweep some Dawgs

College baseball means nothing to 95% of universities and fans.
And LSU is in that 5%
College baseball is huge in BTR and only football only LSU fans fail to see this

You may want to lower your expectations. Maybe "avoid" the sweep might be more in line. I'll be shocked if LSU sweeps an SEC team this year.

Considering LSU was a runner on 3rd and 1 out away from sweeping Georgia I'd say it's certainly possible.

You dont think lsu is capable of sweeping a team? Lol
Posted on 3/30/14 at 4:48 pm to teeMike
Nah, until we play game one the sweep is still possible. If we lose game one the series is still possible and if'n we lose game two then a salvage game is the option. We don't get swept often and this team has talented pitchers and can't stay in this hitting funk forever.
Not pumping sunshine but I'm also not ready to give up and "hope" we don't get swept. Next week is a whole new series and I've got the brooms out in eager anticipation.

You are what your record says you are. More particularly, you are what your SEC record says you are. This is a bad LSU team...they are the culmination of recruiting misses, losing recruits to MLB before they get on campus and poor hitting instruction.
This will go down as one of LSUs worst seasons and likely will result in PM being on the hotseat headed into next season. I think it also results, finally, in Javy losing his job.

I'm here for the baseball.
I hope football does well, and I watch it.
But if I was given a choice between a championship football team, or a CWS winning baseball team, there would be lots of pissed off football fans.

for some baseball is as important or more than football.
I could care less about baseball. Sure, I want LSU to win, but LSU football will always be more important than the baseball team.

baseball is a damn strange sport...there is often no rhyme or reason to which team wins individual games...

That's because you value a niche sport over football and basketball.

I'd trade at least 3 baseball titles for one basketball title

Why don't we just wait until 29-30 SEC games are played, then we pronounce judgment! Until then, Geaux Tigers! And if we wind up in last place, then it's still Geaux Tigers!!

I'm with you on the support, but if LSU finishes at the bottom of the SEC in baseball, then heads need to roll.
