NOP receive Nikola Pekovic
MIN receive Eric Gordon

This would probably happen over the summer...
Two injury prone guys switching teams. With the emergence of Gorgei Dieng as a boss next to KLove (although who wouldn't look good in that position) I think Pekovic could be expendable, especially given the fact that Dieng makes $11 mil less per year.
The Pels need a true center who's tough and physical badly behind AD, and the Twolves could use some wing scoring because if you hadn't noticed Ricky Rubio is bad at points.
I know they have Kevin Martin at SG already, but his $6.5 mil contract makes him a real trade-able asset that they could probably get another piece back for.

Plus Pels get $2 mil in cap space, while Minny tries harder to "win now" so they don't have to fire-sale Kevin Love. Just a thought. Would y'all be excited about Pekovic? (we all would love EG gone obviously)

So they would have to trade Kevin Martin and his friendly contract just to accommodate EG and his very unfriendly contract. And lose Pekovic and replace him with Dieng. I get that Dieng has looked good in his few games, but its not really an upgrade over Pek. If Im Minnesota im keeping the roster as is. Kevin Love is listed as a PF, but plays like a SF. You could play with all 3 of Love, Pek, and Dieng on the court. And with a PG like Rubio, thats a great group to have around him. Rubio, Kevin Martin, Love, Pek, and Dieng. And you have Brewer off the bench for D. Or you could have Dieng / Pek coming off the bench.

Either way, they are a better team without making the trade.

Minny would never do that.

Pekovic looks 'tough and physical' but he really isn't much of a rim protector.

Pek is big and physical at the offensive end, but not so much a presence on the other end, I'd rather have bizarro pek with a physical banger on D who won't take too many touches away from AD, Reke, Jrue, and Ryno

This is just stupid, but I get where you're coming from.... Not talking about this trade in general, I think you make trades to better your team so no reason to be trading for someone that you would think could be on the bench due to injury.

but his $6.5 mil contract makes him a real trade-able asset
I think this sounds tard as well when you consider the fact of acquiring a player that if possibly over paid just so you can trade a player that has a favorable contract and use it for an asset... again I see where you coming from...

Never really thought of the front court of Pekovic/Dieng/Love, but that is pretty damn solid

Oh and BTW, Minny fans would lose their shite if this trade was to go down
