r/politics is liberal counterbalance to the TD Polibard but damn this board still kicks the shite out of that board when it comes to variance. For exampke, the variance in the right wing on this board goes from anti-governmnent anarchists to authoritian theocrats.

The groupthink and hivemind is enabled by things like Karma and downvotes/upvotes affecting where threads and posts go. When you have that happening, there's only one inevitable outcome.

TD is awesome because it's a fair environment when it hasno karma and downvotes/upvotes doesn't affect threads and posts. That ensures neutrality and a fair shake on every single board on this site.

There is so much variance that two "righties" (I'm referring to me and you, Sentrius) can't even agree on what is considered right wing.

From what I have discovered reddit REALLY hates Christians. Holy Crap. I came to the defense of another Christian by pointing out the context of a verse an atheist tried to use against the Christian, and damn. Got a lot of private messages of pure hate and anger. It was scary, actually, that people get that upset over someone they don't even know over the internet.

My guess is because the internet and reddit is all they have, since in public places they are outcasts, so they don't like Christians and conservatives on their "turf" and ruining it for them.
