I'll admit that I haven't watched much college basketball this year, but this kids skill set impressed me. has he played this way all season? If he's available I wouldn't mind seeing him in Pelicans uniform.

Same height as Carmelo, I would like to draft him as well if he is there
DraftExpress has him going 30th

Sadly he will be drafted near the end of the 1st round by the Spurs and turn out to be a damn good NBA player most likely

They usually translate to "great player"

Been a huge fan of his since last season. Kid can flat out play. Not an elite athlete but still above average athlete. Hes very smooth, under control, and has a well rounded offensive game. Has good post moves when a smaller guy is on him and is decent from deep. Not a great 3pt shooter, but not bad either. And hes improved each year across the board. And is an 85% FT shooter.
Sadly, I agree with RTR. Hes the type of player that teams like the Bulls and Spurs take in the mid to late 1st. Doesnt scream all star type player, but is experienced, hard worker, and has no ego. If anything, I think he will move up on draft boards.
But I would love to get him somehow.
Edit: Just read a few things that said his stock is soaring after their loss vs Kentucky. Potentially lottery pick now.

I think he's gonna be really, really good. If he was just a smidgen more athletic I could see him being a star.

Same here. Hes still a really good athlete and has some serious hops. He just isnt an elite athlete like Wiggins and Parker and all them are. If he had their speed and quickness, he would be a top 10 pick.

reminds me of quincy pondexter in college

He reminds me more of a Tobias Harris / Thad Young type of player. A legit 6'8 220lbs with a long wingspan that can score from anywhere on the floor. Has good post moves and is a strong finisher around the basket, along with the athleticism and shooting ability to play on the perimeter and guard the other teams best player. Hes pretty efficient and a great FT shooter(85%) that can get to the line. He averaged 16.4ppg on only 10.7 shot attempts this past season.
I remember watching Pondexter at Washington and was blown away by his explosiveness. He was 1 of the best iso players in the country that year. Quick and strong and very physical. But the knock on him coming out was that nobody knew if he could play in a system without dominating possession of the ball / off the ball. Plus, he was a tweener. Would he be a SG or a SF? Didnt have the outside game to be a SG, nor did he have legit SF size. He had an up and down college career as well, then really exploded for a great SR season.
But I think where Early separates himself from Pondexter is that Early has shown he can play in a legit offensive system and put up solid #s without having to dominate possession. And Early has legit NBA size for a F, with the ability to score in a lot of diff ways from all over the floor.
Im still a little surprised at how Pondexters NBA career has turned out. Thought he could have been a solid 6th man / scorer off the bench type of player. Not that hes horrible, just thought he would be a little better than he is. Its weird how its such a crapshoot to be successful in the NBA. Curious to know success / bust rate out of each draft.

The kind of guy we trade into the first round for. Could make a difference and that length will make Monty cum so hard he gets over his obsession with AFA. Would fit SF that Pels need badly

You weren't the only one impressed.
"Cleanthony Early's improved draft stock"
quote:
Following Wichita's States loss to Kentucky on Sunday, ESPN.com's Chad Ford tweeted: "Cleanthony Early and Ron Baker both really helped their NBA Draft stock here."
Ford ranked Early as the No. 22 best prospect on his Top 100 Big Board prior to the start of the NCAA Tournament and when it's updated the small forward will probably be higher.
ESPN's Jay Bilas is also impressed with how Early played in the two games.

Yea sounds like hes a borderline lottery pick now.
UK tried to guard him with a lot of diff guys, guys that are considered legit NBA prospects, and none of those guys could slow him down.
