I wish the government would just get out of marriage completely. Not recognize it either way. Only give benefits to individuals. No tax benefits, social security benefits. Nothing.
That way there could be no discrimination because nothing would be recognized by the government. Health insurance policies for individuals only.
A person could name a person(male or female) to make decisions for them in case of accident or something similar and file it of record. (sort of a Power of Attorney type document)
If two people want to get together, they could have their own individual bank accounts and one together or whatever.
I'm just tired of people comparing inter-racial marriage to gay marriage. Why not polygamy? Father and son? As long as everyone is an adult. Why discriminate against anything.

Well this could get interesting. Just read that the judge did not stay the ruling. The AG has filed for an emergency stay with the 6th Circuit. If it takes them several days to respond (like it did with the 10th Circuit in the Utah case), gay couples will be able to get married Monday and maybe a few days afterward. It also makes the AG and Governor look like huge assholes when the TV cameras show the clerks having to turn away couples after being able to marry them for a few days prior.

How is same sex attraction a disorder? You say it's not normal, but gay people have been around for forever. If two men or two women want to be together let them. It's not going to ruin the world.
