Who cuts the White House lawn? Do they keep the equipment on the grounds?

It seems that if a lawn care service is contracted to do it and they have to bring in mowers and workers it could be quite tedious to search everything every time they come through the gates. I am sure the lawn crew has to go through a full background check. Does anybody know how this works?

Illegal immigrants who stole the job from some respectable Americans. Thanks Obama.

There is a groundskeeper and they employ members of the National Park Service….

Do you really think they just let Pedro and Javier do it on the side?
The grounds are big and pristine. I guarantee you they have a full time grounds crew with a little shop/storage shed filled with the best equipment our money can buy some where on the grounds.
That said, the guys working there are probably named Pedro and Javier.

the crew lives under the White House in solitary confinement. They are never allowed to leave the property. All the equipment is also stored under the House. The crew works on the lawn 7 days a week, even when its snowing and raining they are doing something.

I would imagine they keep the equipment on the grounds. The real question. How often do they cut it?

Have the same kids been doing it for several years or do they get new ones each year? Do they all have to undergo a background check? Does Obama walk the grounds after to make sure they did a good job edging and so forth? I know that you cannot trust most teenagers to do a satisfactory job without watching them closely. They will eventually start to cut corners.

This.
They also do a good job of protecting the grass from suffering under the full weight of marine one when it lands on the lawn.

Ron Swanson taking taxpayer money to get paid to cut the lawn of a government he fundamentally disagrees with? Youre out of your fricking mind.

Full time crew, still have to check in with Secret Service every time they enter.
