It all started over a hunk of plastic.
A firearm only becomes a firearm when it becomes fully functional. Raw materials — even those destined to become firearms — are not regulated like a firearm until all the manufacturing processes have been completed to make it operational. But that creates a loophole for do-it-yourself gun owners, since they can purchase nearly-completed lower receivers for their AR-15 firearms and manufacture the rest of the firearm themselves. Not only does this get around needing to have a background check to buy the firearm, but it also keeps them from having a paper trail of any kind that the ATF can come snooping down should they want to confiscate the guns. It will be interesting to see how this one plays out. I bet the ATF has a strong foothold due to the pansies now running the show.

Nutnfancy did a phone interview with the owner of Ares on his channel. Go check it out. The guy tells of all the threats the ATF is giving him even though what he is doing is 100% legal. It's pretty effed up.

Judge issued a restraining order last week against the ATF. The ATF ignored it over the weekend and raided the business, took all the customer's information and all the lowers...

frick the ATF. But are you really surprised with this administration?

What bothers me is that everyone wants to bitch about it on facebook. Our rights have been taken, but no one has the balls to fight for them. Yeah, people will go to jail, and people would die. Instead we are happy just to sit back and complain about it on the internet like it does any good.

The whole thing is an unconstitutional illegal witch hunt.
Probably most ironically it is also a very ignorant witch hunt.
Lets see what other readily available over the counter non tracked items of mass destruction I can link in images:

Interesting. Was not aware this had gone down. I believe Ares is a sponsor of Uncle Ted. Coincidence?

What do you propose? I sent a link to my senator and expressed my disappointment.

is this the monthly anarchy thread?
Posted on 3/19/14 at 11:22 am to Biff Tannen
No, just a thread highlighting what the gubment is doing to some private business owners who are in the firearms industry.

Aren't these called K-15s? I thought you had to have a class 7 FFL to legally complete milling these anyway or am I missing something?

That the Republicans nominate a real hard line guy. Mitt Romney was a pussy. If he would have called Obama a communist to his face during the debates, questioned his citizenship, questioned Benghazi, question the firearms running into Mexico, or questioned his radical ties just maybe some would have woken up. Instead it was a bunch of meaningless debate, and "oh excuse me, you first Mr. President".
They should have run a straight smear campaign against these, well for lack of a better term, tyrants.
That there tells you, the republicans are on the dole just as well. It's play along, get along with them. It makes me so angry to watch it all unfold...
ETA: And we pay these assholes salaries and health care.

ATF is up at the top of the list with EPA as agencies that need to be abolished.

I thought you were headed in the other direction.
