NFL Network's Ian Rapoport expects the Texans to have interest in Mark Sanchez "if/when he's released." Sanchez is expected to be cut before March 25, when his $2 million roster bonus comes do. RapSheet seems to be forecasting a Matt Schaub-for-Sanchez switcheroo in Houston. The Texans at this point are expected to pass on a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick in May's draft. It's entirely possible Sanchez winds up as Bill O'Brien's Week 1 starter, based on the most recent reports.

Per roto.

He smells bad? You've been smelling Mark Sanchez? That's weird.

Not a bad idea. Bring in a quality back-up to compete with Schhaub, and could possibly get the local Hispanic population more interested.

He would throw less Pick-6s

But compensate with way more fumbled returned for TDs

I hate Schaub, but I would take him over Sanchez any day. I think it would be a really bad move for Bill O'Brien as well.

Texans are just trying to get a backup in order.

I wonder if this will play a role in Vick going to NYJ.

Schuab is getting cut with the quickness. They want a guy to keep the field warm and they will draft a qb in a later round and let him sit a year. He will be super cheap compared to schuab. Sanchez was on some super super shitty offenses in NY and it wasn't all his fault.
