If they landed in Pakistan then they could on-load a few nukes and head for Tel- Aviv.

Flying under 5,000 feet, radar appears useless. There are multiple locations that bird could have landed and multiple people who would want it.

Don't you think people would have noticed a plane flying that low?

Depending on how long it was flew, it would likely have to be refueled before it could reach europe or the US.

I doubt that would go unnoticed.

Of course not. You just file a ICAO flightplan and say you're a Gulfstream, not a 777. No one could tell the difference on a ATC radar.

Im talking about the refeuling part. you dont think a Malaysian airlines 777 sitting on a tarmac somewhere its probably not supposed to be getting refeuled wouldnt raise a few eywbrows?

The plane flew for over 7 hours. This is one of the only facts we actually know.

ETA: if the plane flew in the northern corridor then there are about 10 countries this plane could be in.
Another thing... they said the plane only had enough fuel on board to last for about 7 hours.

And flying below 5,000 feet burns a lot more fuel than normal.

So if the plane was in the air for 7 hours, and there was only enough fuel to last for 7 hours for a normal flight, there is no way the plane could have been travelling below 5,000 feet for very long because they would have ran out of fuel well before 7 hours in the air.

My guess is that it made a safe landing. In what is now dense jungle. In the year 1772.

There was a guy on Fox the other day who specialize in this type of thing and said it wouldn't be hard at all land the place without people knowing.

do we know it was flying for all 7 hours? or just sending data for 7 hours? could it not have been on the ground somewhere transmitting?

recent headlines have mentioned that theory.

I thought it wasn't sending any data, just being picked up by satellite as a ufo for those seven hours.

yeah i think youre right. I was thinking of the engines sending data which is apparently separate from the satellite thing.

so we dont know if it was on the ground on in the air.

I'm wondering why if they knew the last satellite was seven hours after the transponder was turned off, how come they can't home in to where the ping was and go from there?

The popularity of Miley Cyrus makes no sense. She's ugly and she can't sing. I think the pilot was doing something big to attract her attention. Just like when John Hinckley shot Ronald Reagan to show his love for Jodie Foster.

Although Foster is not quite as ugly as Miley.

2. What happens now? What could they possibly do with that airplane? If they tried to use it for terrorism, it would be picked up by radar. So how would they get away with it?

If I recall correctly, the transponder can be set so the plane "looks" like another scheduled flight. If they set their squak for a scheduled international flight who knows when they would be spotted as the fake.

Some speculate this ship was going to blow up just upwind of Israel.

Kinda funny how quickly a cargo ship of radioactive waste just fell off the media's radar.
