LSU Possible Connection To Providence

Just saw Providence beat Creighton to win Big East Men's Basketball Tourney. Ed Cooley, head coach of Providence is in his 3rd year and is from RI. Could LSU win the SEC Tourney next year with it being Johnny Jones' 3rd year and Jones being from his home state?
