Vanderbilt pitcher windup question.

So.. This Vandy pitcher takes the ball out, sticks the ball back in his glove, and then takes it back out again while in his windup.
IDK why but this just seems illegal to me or just straight odd.. Anyone else notice?

if he does is out of the stretch, with runners on its a balk, it decieves the baserunners, which u cannont do.

He can do what ever in the windup

No starting and stopping means no balk. Some pitchers keep the ball entirely out their glove behind their back. As long as it's one fluid motion with no stopping or hesitation, it's legal

If you've ever pitched or coached pitching it is a technique that definitely helps some guys. It's not for everybody.

In the Miss St - Georgia game that was on before LSU, the Miss St starter did the same thing except he looked even more goofy doing it.

I am far from a baseball expert but its not uncommon for pitchers have some weird hitch, motion or habit. Technically every pitch Hunter Gomez threw was illegal.
