re: Anyone here experienced Sako sticky stock?
Posted by flyby on 1/30/23 at 8:12 pm to DownSouthDave
My Finnlight had the issue and I finally got fed up with it and tried the brake cleaner route to remove the soft touch. I just did it a couple months ago and I’m pretty happy with the result. I took it slow but didn’t take all the precautions I read about like taping off the inserts and recoil pad. It’s now just a slick black stock with the same grey rubber inserts. It’s not as nice as it was new but much better than the sticky stock.

Power Quality standards require the utility to provide a voltage at +\- 5% of nominal so your voltage must be between 114-126 volts. The voltage difference between legs shouldn’t be much.
There isn’t anything, generally, on the customer side that would make the voltage increase so it is likely an issue with the utility.
It sounds like there is an issue at the transformer and the utility should investigate, then take responsibility for any damage that may have resulted from power quality issues.
Search for Power Quality standards and see what you can find from Entergy on it.

I have really enjoyed African hunting books and have read these multiple times:
Death In The Long Grass and other Capstick books - entertaining
Hunter by JA Hunter - a first hand account of the incredible life of an early white hunter and an Africa that no longer exists
A Hunter's Wanderings In Africa - another old time hunting book
Man-Eaters of Kumaon- hunting tiger and leopard man-eaters in India, great book maybe should have listed this one first
Old Man and The Boy - The outdoors and life lessons

By having the option of the state buying them they are setting the minimum value.
Since there is an industry in itself of brokering these credits, then clearly they are being redeemed for something more than the state set minimum.
The best deal for the state would be if they were redeemed at the minimum value and the state were in fact cutting checks.
No checks = worse deal

Then what kind of transaction are they making when "buying back" film credits?

According to ethics expert and retired General Jack Grubbs this guy was a real piece of work. General Sinclair has made the cut in multiple ethics presentations given by Dr. Grubbs for his misdeeds.
The negative effect on the personnel surrounding him was apparently very real and significant and is disregarded in declaring this "just an affair".

In the Miss St - Georgia game that was on before LSU, the Miss St starter did the same thing except he looked even more goofy doing it.

This has been my favorite topic to follow. I specifically have enjoyed the board "experts" arguing about this with you only to turn around a few months later in the next thread and essentially concede all the things they argued about in the previous one.
Went out with Marsh Masters once a year for several years. We always went in August so I have never needed to prepare for cold weather while bow fishing.
One thing that affected several in our group was blisters from the bow string. We brought golf gloves and tape the next trip. I haven't heard too many complain about that so maybe it's not a big issue for others.

They make a return on investment that is regulated by the PSCs. Utilities would prefer a given return on a large amount rather than a small amount. Controlling the investment that is recoverable is the cost control for the customer.
There's a balancing act between investment into the system and controlling cost for the customer.
The more money they invest, the more money they make.
Utilities make the investment that the customers/regulators allow them to.

I wish he would go ahead and eat that thing, he's been carrying it all over the country for years.
Looks like it's sold but very nice. Would love to have one.

I did damage the nose area on a couple. Very easy to do even when first skinning/cleaning.
I don't think it's noticeable though except when comparing to others side by side.

I've been known to pass on deer and regret it later and I watched this one (I think) from 0615 when I could just tell it was a deer until 0645 when I could tell it was an 8 but couldn't judge it well. He walked away and I kinda regretted not shooting. An hour later a spike popped out on the other side side of me and he was right behind the spike. No hesitation that time.
I've had a lot of action the last two mornings.
