I do it because I am not an a-hole.

Habit, more than anything. My parents ingrained it in me.

I do it because I'm beta.

I just assume they are too weak to open heavy doors.

My mother taught me to hold the for women, respect your elders and say no/yes Mam or Sir.

so you are saying staring at that arse is a reward for being courteous.

I'm not a guy, but I always hold a door open for anyone, male or female, coming in right behind me, and I open doors for anyone carrying packages, dealing with a child, using a walker, or who is otherwise encumbered. I always say thank you to people who hold doors open for me, but I don't expect men to do it just because they are men.

I do it for both reasons, also it pisses off feminists so thats a plus.
