Those things are a pain in the arse. You can get great fireball in the pit. They keep spamming their goddamn fireballs that rape your stamina.

I'm gonna have to soul farm and level up. My character dies too quickly and my weapons suck. Gotta reinforce them and get more dex and stamina

After you beat freja there is a back area with two enemies, one of whom drops the iron key.

Close. From the pharros bonfire you go back out to where the mastodon and gyrm enemies are not facing you and continue along the path that goes up. If you go the other way you find one mastodon enemy and a room full of lockstone contraptions.

My bad, I blocked out a lot of memories from the iron keep due to the amount of times I died in the fire puzzle. I'm thinking of the key for the another area.

Ok so the combination of those giant lizard being big, throwing fire, and the sprint button being so fricking unresponsive are making that area really difficult
