The Library Board is still considering purchasing (for a horribly inflated price) the property that Spinosa owns on Perkins near Pollard.

That was a nice plot in a desirable part of town. It's a shame that it will be in limbo.
it deserves to be developed. its a huge tract in a densely populated area. its just fricking sitting there. Thanks NIMBY folks. I enjoy you keeping our city in the 1980's

This NIMBY crap has gotten so old. This development was a soup sandwich from day one. If it is so wonderful why did TS get Mickey Skyring to bring it in under the radar?

Yea, other than Spinosa having bad press in this area with many things, I do not understand wacking out over Rouzon. If there is some element of section 8 housing in there I get it. Otherwise its NIMBYtude.
The apartments being constructed on the old Coastal Bridge property are much worse than Rouzon IMO.

Both former Ford properties. The parking garage looks bigger than the actual complex.

Because the nearby Southdowns residence were so used to their open land over there, they didn't want anyone actually coming over there. Sort of like their own little quiet secret area.
The biggest complaint was traffic but Rouzan was actually going to do more to improve that than people realize.
It just boiled down to "No we don't want new people coming to our neighborhood"

It's terrible. Too damn many apartments being constructed at the same time, and not the type of desirable development suited to that area.
Like I said from what ive seen of Rouzan (sans Spinosa) it's much better that what is going in blocks away on Perkins.

those houses in there are pretty damn nice. how many of you have actually seen them?

Walter Bankston did a nice job with Woodchase. I was sad to see that developed; I used to hunt and play in those woods, but Woodchase is very nice and does not have the density of a sardine can.

I won't disagree with this. They are nice.

Can't argue with this.

The guys in the middle have been in this lawsuit for years and have not even sued for court costs. They simply want to not be bothered and have Spinoza follow the law and quit trying to screw them over.

This shite is still going on?

TND's like this offer more amenities in an area. It's made to eliminate suburban sprawl. So theoretically you can walk to the grocery/drug store, and not have to get in the car and drive there, congesting roads in the process.

i know 4 people living there that are under the age of 28. and not all of them are 600k. of course all likely had help from mom and dad.

It'll be old people houses. Nobody wants to start a family in a small house with no yard.
