This thread will monitor any MLS players who get on insanely good form leading up to the World Cup this summer.
Named in honor of the famous EDSON BUDDLE PAIN TRAIN.
Now leading the race:
Will Bruin, he of tremendous upside.

The one and only Chris Klute.

Glad I acquired Will Bruin on my TD fantasy squad.

I was so high on him possibly being a darkhorse for the starting LB spot when he went into January camp. But when he, and the rest of the LB's were sent home early in favor of Michael Parkhurst (a late arrival and not a natural LB), the pain train I was conducting lost a lot of steam.

Bruin looked like a monster in the first match. If this is the year he gets that killer instinct, he could get that seat on the bus. Thought Mapp was really good on the right for MTL.

Will Bruin extends his lead in the Edson Buddle Pain Train Rankings with a first half goal.
So far, no other takers. Maybe Amobi Okugo of the Philly Union can emerge as a viable centerback option.
Alan Gordon and Steven Lenhart make a claim tonight.

Can we place Andrew Wenger at the bottom of the list?

And honestly, he looks like he's about 5-9 to me.

Height is overrated for central defenders.
See: Puyol, Carles; Cannavaro, Fabio; Terry, John (listed under douche bag)

But CHRIS WONDOLOWSKI will not give up his World Cup dreams so easily.
Gets off the mark for the season.

But it *is* important in the eyes of many.

But Okugo isn't even in this time zone - yet.
I love the guy, I think he's a great player. I think there is a 0.005% chance the US has a *cough* 6 foot center back this World Cup.
