Also if the plane is there, then the pilot suicide theory is the most likely.
I still don't believe based on evidence that it was a mechanical break down.

I have no doubt there are MUCH more detailed images that haven't been released. It's not possible the Australians would make this big of a fuss based upon what they released to the public. No way.
Agreed. I have been able to read the name of a soldier in a moving jeep in White Sands from a satellite feed we set up for monitoring.

I fell asleep watching the news, I was watching the Americans on dvr then switched to cnn. Saw the second briefing and was expecting them to say they found it.
From what I posted like twenty pages back, the US has a major radar post in Australia. It's possible there is a lot they don't want to let out, like the range of their radar.

At this point it is a consideration...

I heard that Australian image is from the 16th. If a piece of the plane was there, it would have drifted a good distance by now.
Hell, it could have drifted an insane distance from the original crash site over the past two weeks.

Damn...was hoping we were getting somehwere with this.
Also saw on CNN last night the place near "search area" is known for plenty of debris and trash from currents in the Indian Ocean so it could be anything...

two pieces of debris are 14 miles apart
images used are three days old.
Apparently it is not a hi-res satellite, the US is moving satellites into position for better images.

A day that began with high hopes ended with uncertainty late Thursday in Australia as darkness put an end to the search for two objects captured on satellite and described as possible debris from missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
Aircraft from Australia, New Zealand and the United States, along with a Norwegian merchant ship, will resume the search Friday, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority said.

Even before suspending the search for the day, authorities cautioned the objects could be something other than plane wreckage, such as shipping containers that fell off a passing vessel.
But they said they represent the best lead so far in the search for the missing airliner, which vanished 13 days ago with 239 passengers and crew aboard.

I was wondering when the sat pictures were taken. He didn't say it in the press conference last night. Seems like it's pretty important info to know.

Yeah in the news conf the PM of Austraila said if I remember correctly.....
1 large piece, then another not to far away with other pieces in the area....
Sounded like a really good shot at being all of the plane.
Also gathered some info that I never heard last night that the pilot that had the flight simulator did have stuff deleted or removed recently from something in his house and also they found evidence of I think 9 different places in and around the Indian Ocean that you could "land" a plane but not have a plane take off from there....

Doubtful, look at the upper left corner of the images, they were taken by DigitalGlobe, a private U.S. firm. They are the company that released their images to the public as a "crowd sourcing" project to find the plane.

aka waiting until the satellite happens to be in the right spot.

Don Lemon of CNN thinks a black hole might have swallowed the plane.
I used like Don, but he's been a glorified social media puppet throughout this coverage. I know CNN skews a younger demo and that they want to reach as many young adults as possible, but it's really unprofessional to have two anchors constantly on their iphones during the 10pm news IMO.
