Seems that all of the bait stores in the Covington area that are listed on google are closed.

I think the bait shop in Madisonville, across from what used to be Badeauxs, might sell live shrimp sometimes.

Route 22 bait shop in Madisonville. Not sure if they have live shrimp though. I do always see live shiners

Going to have trouble with live shrimp in that area. I haven't seen live shrimp in Madisonville before, but that isn't to say it's not there. When fishing this area I use strictly artificial.
Best option is likely a test trawl when legal or Slidell.

You gotta get to Lacombe before you can find live skrimps.
We used to have a bait shop in old mandeville off Girard St. that sold em, but that was in my yout.
Man, as kids, we used to dream about opening a live bait shop right on the harbor or at sunset point. We were gonna wreck shop on that lake

Yeah me and a buddy were just talking about that last weekend while at Sunset Point. Wouldn't even really need a building, just sell bait and tackle out of the back of a truck.
Thanks to everyone about the heads up in Madisonville, I'll check it out.

Yea haven't seen live skrimps in Mandeville ever. Whenever we want live shrimp, we go out to the mouth of the tchefuncta on a full moon night and throw the cast net
