Managed at a few SK's while in college. Almost all of their fruits are concentrated juice. The strawberries come frozen in a sugar syrup. The peaches and pineapples are canned. The only fresh fruit they use are the bananas.
I like the Sunset Point pier in Mandeville.

What are some WMAs relatively close to BR that I could go kill some tree rats? I have killed a few at 3 rivers WMA (Yancy). May run there Sunday morning.

Tunica Hills is another good one (the actual WMA, not the Clarks Creek hiking trail). Just make sure to invest in some snakeproof chaps and prepare to do a bit of hiking.

Just picked up the last .177 Titan at the Burbank WM in BR. Thanks for the heads up.

Rice Sutton. Does incredible work.
TL:DR
"Four factors appear to explain the drop in crime: increased incarceration, more police, the decline of crack and legalized abortion. Other factors often cited as important factors driving the decline do not appear to have played an important role: the strong economy, changing demographics, innovative policing strategies, gun laws and increased use of capital punishment."

Look into assistantships to cover all or part of tuition

If you're suggesting an on-campus assistantship, it's not going to be as cost effective with the LSU MBA program as it would be with another degree. Flores has higher tuition and more fees than most of the other graduate programs on campus, and the assistantship won't cover the additional amount. I ended up having to switch to a different degree after I had already been accepted into the Flores MBA program because I couldn't afford the additional cost while working as a grad assistant.

said they no longer allow AR pistols

told me quite a few years ago that I couldn't shoot an SKS

Crazy, the exact same thing happened to me there. About four years ago I brought in a SKS I had just purchased, and the guy behind the counter shook his head and told me to put it back in my car. Went back a couple times after that to shoot pistols with friends and each time the staff there was rude as frick.

Finally, about a month ago, I'd just finished my AR pistol build and obviously immediately wanted to go shoot it, so I showed up there about an hour before close with just 50 rounds. The guy behind the counter (who was actually pretty cool, but found out later he was new, go figure) said they only had one working rifle lane, and that it was currently occupied. He did say that the shooter had been there awhile and that he could get me in there in about 30 mins, so I chose to wait. Finally got me in just 15 mins before close and I wasnt even able to zero my sights before they announced they were closed. When I got out, some other guy was behind the counter and charged me the full frickin range fee even after I mentioned I'd only gotten 15 mins. He then noticed my AR pistol and told me the other guy made a mistake and that I shouldnt have been allowed to shoot it. Swore then that I'd never go back.

Go try the range in Baker if you havent been. Just went last week and was extremely impressed with their staff.

re: Uses for old laptops

If you can't find an immediate use for the XP laptop, you could lend it to me until mid-May. I'm working on a concept for my ISDS elective's final project that uses outdated computer hardware for classroom insruction and could use it for my presentation.

PM me if interested. Thanks.

May save you a ticket...

I always disclose when I get pulled over, and got out of a speeding ticket once for doing so . The officer asked if he could take possession of my gun during the stop to ensure his safety, to which I agreed. When he came back from his vehicle I noticed he no longer had a ticket book in his hand. He complimented the aftermarket night sights I had on the gun, and told me to slow down and have a nice day.

Admittedly, not all of my stops go quite as well as this, but I will say that I have yet to be in a situation where telling the cop about the firearm in my vehicle has made the situation any worse.

Same here. Its almost like they were going for an OS X Leopard throwback. It's hideous.

Thinking about downgrading back to Mavericks. My cell is an android, so there wasn't much benefit to upgrading anyway.
If you've got time to wait, keep an eye or set an alert on Slickdeals... I found an articulating mount for $15 shipped about a month ago.
This is my edc. I use the flashlight option just as much as the charger. Not as many mAh as the one you listed, but gets my S5 from dead to 75%.

How closely did you examine the board, and to what extent did you take it apart

I've taken the board out and cleaned it twice since the spill, and both times have removed everything but the CPU heatsink, only because I hate dealing with thermal paste (always seems like I either use too little or too much) and because I don't think it's related to the problem. After my first attempt I got it to post but still had a ton of issues, so I took the board out again and cleaned it even more thoroughly, bringing me to where I am now. I've read other posts advising to use a magnifying glass to ensure all corrosion is completely gone, which I'll probably end up doing sometime soon if I can't find an ultrasonic cleaner big enough to fit the board.

You'd make that person's job faster if you could identify the onboard component that's damaged.

I considered that myself, which is mainly why I'm asking if anybody local does board repairs. I'd gladly spend the time taking the board out and going over it with a multimeter to find the problem if there was someone local who was experienced and steady-handed enough to replace whatever was causing the issue. I know how to use a soldering iron, but I'm nowhere near good enough to tackle something this small.

Local motherboard/logic board repair

Posted by Bassassin on 9/4/14 at 3:19 pm
I know this topic should probably go on the Tech Board, but from the searches I've done it seems like there's a greater chance of you all being able to help me out:

My girlfriend recently spilled water on her 2011 macbook pro. While I've been able to resurrect liquid-damaged motherboards/logic boards in the past (its actually how she got this computer) using 99% isopropyl and and q-tips, it seems like the damage this time might be more than just surface corrosion. I have been able to get it to post again, and after a SMC reset it will work fine. However, the battery charge time is abnormally slow and the SMC has to be reset each time the computer is either powered on or wakes up from sleep for it to function properly. Does anyone know of a place or person around here who either has an ultrasonic cleaner big enough for this to fit or does circuit board repair? I know there are places who advertise on Youtube who do this kind of work but I'd rather stay local if possible. Also, please don't tell me to take it to Apple or Best Buy, as all they will do is quote me a ridiculous amount of money to replace the board.

Not completely true. Norton>McAfee
Percy Quinn has a golf course, but Chicot State Park in LA has nicer cabins.
Just scooped one of these up for pier fishing... debating on getting a second:

I go bass fishing in Ramah every once in awhile and see people keeping every bream they catch, even the small ones. Seems like filleting them would be more work than it's worth. Am I missing something, or is there some other way to cook these without having to deal with the bones?

Also, anyone mind sharing some recipes?
