So I finally watched Episode IV,V,VI

In the recent Episode VII villain thread I admitted my shame about never having sat through the entirety of any of these 3 films.
Well my shame inspired me and I DVR'd them on SPIKE last week. It was like a sign from God. I admitted my confession and boom, there they were back to back on SPIKE. I'm pretty sure these had added scenes and such that were not in the originals. Likely impacted my opinions.
Let me preface this by saying I knew general story lines, characters, major plot points, etc. before viewing. I did not go in completely blind.
I have thoughts.
Episode IV - I enjoyed thoroughly. It did move kind of slow though. But the story was very compelling. I was expecting more light saber battles. Chewy is obnoxious. Favorite character - Darth Vader/Solo
Episode V - I enjoyed also, but found myself not paying complete attention near the end. Yoda is a patterass. I feel like this one was clearly the most important of the 3. Favorite character - Darth Vader
Episode VI - WTF was that music/band scene at Jabbas? I liked the dynamics of the battles and the storyline for the most part. The whole Jabba situation was painful to watch though. It felt epically forced. Also Solo as a character became a joke in VI. He was way better in IV and V. Lucas ruined him in VI. Ewoks are fricking awesome. Chewy is obnoxious. The end was cheesy as frick. Favorite character - Ewoks
Please, don't taze me bro

I assume you mean the version with the overdone cgi song and dance number? Lucas getting ready for episode I, I guess

There are people on this board (including me) who saw the originals in the theater.

Oh man you're good. That was just a little joke because they're are a lot of people that feel if it's not the original, non cgi ones then it's not real Star Wars. Lucky for me I own every copy/version that has ever come out and enjoy the old and the update, so most of those people that get all pissy can suck it.

<---saw the originals in the theater multiple times...which was the only way to see movies multiple times.
No such thing as VCRs ;-).

I also own the last DVD's made available of the uncut originals. They have both the uncuts originals and the first reworkings that were re-released at the theaters in the 90's. When I showed the Star Wars movies to my sons, they saw the real ones...
