Hearing he isn't happy with the front office right now and not sure he'll be returning next season. If he's let go, should the Saints pursue him?

He probably doesn't have much left in the tank, if any, but he said he wouldn't mind landing in the NFC South again. Last season he got you about 60 yards and a score here and there. Don't think he had an 100 yard game. Could be a decent fill in for one season considering when the Saints face Carolina.

No thanks, he a thug. We'd be better off just resigning Meach.

You mean he plays with a ton of emotion. More than the average player.

I think he's slowing a bit.

Didn't produce up to his standards last season.

A bit is an understatement. He disappeared in games a lot last season. Then again, Carolina's top target was Greg Olsen

I don't see an edit in your post, Pat.

That means you started writing "No thanks. He's a thug..." with the intention of cutting yourself off.

If Smith were available and his cost was comparable to Meachem's cost, you would choose Meachem?

Wow.

Is he slowing? Possibly, but remember he has wonder woman as his qb. He would play 5 more years in our system. Cant say that in Carolina.

This. And only if Mark Ingram takes him out during the offseason.

Hated him like you would hate a thorn in your side.

But if he can still play?

Sure.

I wouldn't want to bring him in, but he'd be all-world at least two games.

His PFF score last season was still very strong, despite not being the number one receiver.

Hell, give him a year contract if he can still do it and will come cheap.

I remember last season during the panthers game watching Sean Payton talking to Steve Smith for a very long time and I said I bet Payton is telling him he's welcome in New Orleans when he wants to come. I'm telling you, it's happening!

No he's a thug- he punches teammates. Cam Jordan is a good example of someone who plays with a ton of emotion. There's a difference between strong emotions and having no control over those emotions.
