Didn't Abraham say Eugene had been talking to someone in Washington via satellite phone up until a couple weeks ago? Washington could have some resources to work on the outbreak.
I hope they abandon this story line. Any chance for a cure died with the CDC and we are not buying a random dude with a mullet has the answer.
If there were people in Washington able to still communicate with sat phone with someone with a cure, I promise that guy is being air-lifted out. You would believe if true, there would be some form of organization in DC and that is why he is going there. Military equipment is abundant and fuel never goes bad in the ZA.
Eugene saving the world is not believable like this, so you hope they are just tossing the comic book people a bone.

Those guys were playing checkers while Rick is playing chess.

Good catch. In was wondering why he cracked the door open when he did it, but by the time you hear the walker attacking folks I had already forgot about Rick cracking the door. His way of setting a bomb with a timer. That is the Rick we need going forward.

Mullet and a sat phone that no one is even answering, according th Abraham. Does the thing even have batteries?

Comics talk on this page. Outstanding, you assholes...and Liberty of all people. Color me shocked.
Anyway, decent episode. I wasn't a huge fan of the 35 minutes of buildup with Rick and the dudes in the house all leading up to......nothing, and he just runs off with Carl and Michonne. I assume they did that to make for some nice drama/tension, but there seems to be no reason for it looking back after the episode was over (unless those guys come back). I'll just chalk it up to them telling us that there are still "bad" people milling around in the world.
Although these new people randomly being inserted into the show makes me wonder even more how paths have never been crossed before...especially with people out searching/foraging for food and supplies. Oh well. At least the at and mouse game in the house was pretty cool, and the scene when old boy was killed while staring at Rick under the bed was pretty awesome.
The Glen storyline didn't make much sense either. So he was asleep/passed out and they rode over THREE HOURS north away from the prison area, and now they're just gonna start walking back the way they came? I realize they're prolly looking for a car, but damn, that seems like an awfully long way to be out of dodge. They're likely 150+ miles from where everyone else is at this point...I assume unless they find transportation quickly, that group won't be reunited with anyone else for a while.
I keep hoping that they won't drag out the group reuniting, but it looks like that is definitely gonna happen.

This season has been so slow to develop. At the end of this episode I sat and thought, ok, what did we learn? What was advanced? Basically, the people with Glenn don't appear to be bad. That's it. I can't believe they're still developing characters like Michonne this season.

I don't mind some of that, but we've literally already had an episode where Michonne and Carl go off alone on some sort of mission and bond with each other. It's already been established that they're friends and have bonded...why do it again?
This show is about characters for the most part, so flesh some out, sure...but don't regurgitate exact same scenarios we've already seen.

All I said he doesn't set the world of fire, Eugene is a boring character that doesn't spoil anything. That is the equivalent of saying Abraham is a badass. Hopefully casting the guy they did he at least has a funny side on the show.
But the one that looked at Rick was played by a relatively famous actor for a half scene (no spoiler) but I THINK we haven't seen the last of these guys.

I think he was just telling Abraham that so that he could continue to hide under Abraham's wing. If Washington was still up and running, they would've been in contact with the CDC back before it blew up
surprised not much mention of this supposed sanctuary. Is it a new Woodbury?

In essence, that kind of spoils whether he actually know something or not. Is it really so hard to just not mention the comics at all?

The name terminus implies railroads and Atlanta.

two groups found that map to sanctuary.
So you have two groups that still need to come across a map. Abraham/Glenn and Daryl/Herschell's daughter

But each group has a person who heard the radio message "Sanctuary those who arrive survive, Terminus" when they where in the charger - Daryl Ty Michonne and Bob. Now Abraham/Glenn have found the map as well.

You have to remember when we saw the prison at the end of season 2, people were livid when some said "hey that is the prison"
Even though the storylines are completely different, it will still upset people. So just don't allude to any comics.

Like I said some really weird definition of spoilers, an opinion of how badass a character is/isn't is in no way a spoiler. Now there are very specific spoilers regarding Eugene and I in no way would post them. But the guy sucks overall as a character, flat and boring and his first appearance in show doesn't change that. Hopefully since they cast a comedian in the role he grows into a comic relief type character at best.
