This thread just makes me think what Jarvis Landry would have been like at 6'4 or 6'5. He is already the GOAT WR in my opinion at LSU. Probably gonna get laughed out of this thread but I really feel that he was. One my favorite players ever.

I was going off height advantage WRs, Diarse may be a smidge over six feet

of the top 10 leaders for receiving yardage last year, 5 were under 6 foot tall, 2 at 5-11, 1 at 5-10, 1 at 5-9, and one at 5-8.
What does that have to do with anything? Nobody said shorties were bad. Look, go in the NFL and look at all the top receivers. Seven of the top 15 stat leaders are 6'3+, go a little further and 12 of the top 15 are 6'3 or taller. It doesn't start separating until that.
Cam just came from the NFL where he utilize a pro style NFL type offensive scheme to make us better. It's the same thing that Tennessee had in place a couple years ago with Da'Rick (who would have been with them had he not done some questionable things), Patterson, and Hunter. It's the same thing TAMU is doing now, albeit they have a more wide open approach to it.
So we are going to play NFL ball in the college game.

Avery Peterson, Quantavius Leslie, Travin Dural, James Wright, Kevin Spears, Ruben Randle, and Terrence Tolliver are all 6-2 or taller and have been on the team in the last 3 years.
That's not an "occasional" amount of WR's, dude.
Who cares, anyways? If we had 5 Landry's in the team today, I'd be printing championship shirts.

Most NFL teams cant find 3 NFL prototypes at wideout.

I did say it seemed like we never did, I didn't say we never did
and this:

Ok so in 11 years we had 6 big receivers. After next years recruiting class we'll have 6 on the same team.

Tall or short doesn't matter. All I know is that this current set of WRs may be thin on experience, but they are deep on talent. Quinn, Dupre, Peterson, Diarse and Dural give us an impressive corps. Add in Leslie and Upchurch and you can expect quite a battle for playing time next season.
Whoever wins the QB spot in spring should be very happy with his WR options.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Icongeauxtigers.png)

It is simple. A good big man beats a good small man. If the talent level is equal then size matters a great deal.

we've had some big guys in the past, but I agree the WR recruiting looks to be better

Just going off of the Rivals listed height of over 6'0 from before Cam was here
Dural
Holmes
Avery Johnson
Lewis
Boone
Wright
Armaud Williams
Randle
Benton
Molton
Tolliver
Byrd
Toliver
Dixon
Chris Mitchell
Lafell
That's only back to the 2005 class. I know some never played or barely played, but well over half the WRs that signed a LOI were listed over 6'0

Excuse me, I meant to clarify that I haven't seen it "in person" since d Byrd's catch. I did see Landry's catch in 2012 I just forgot about it...
