Luck is most definitely involved.

I tend to disagree with Simmons on most things.

The Jrue trade was fine.
Not sure how you could say that. Jury's still out.

Noel turns into Mutombo v 2.0 and they nail that draft pick then this trade will go down as a total and complete disaster

We'll see. So far we haven't exactly set the world on fire with the results of the trade.

Yes, but what I meant by that was, he thinks the only way is to get not one great player out of the draft, but multiple great players out of the draft. You know how hard that is? OKC has done it. Portland finally did it but it was what? 7 years in between drafts for Alrdige and Lillard?

It is extremely hard to do it, and requires being bad for at least 3-4 years.

We got Jrue Holiday. He's a good player. Jury's not out for me, regardless of the results.

The Tyreke signing was retarded as frick, but I'm beating a dead horse there.

(Nerlens Noel, Ben McLemore, Burke and Carter-Williams all on the table); their 2014 first-rounder (top-five protected); the Greivis Vasquez/Robin Lopez expirings ($7.2 million combined); more than $10 million in cap space. I like it!

I'd rather have jrue than a center with one knee,an unknown which would've been fairly redundant and a guard who shoots 39%(28% from deep) with 3.6 TOs per game.

7.2M in expirings wouldn't have brought us much back for two average players(slightly above in gravys case.

Plus that 2014 1st rounder will probably be worthless

Jrue is a top 10 PG when healthy and can take over games(plus he actually plays DEFENSE what a concept!. He's also a great guy.

Tyresus has had great stretches

Again, I meant that he thinks that THAT IS THEIR PURPOSE.

Not that it actually happens, which of course it does. But that the only purpose of small market teams is to be feeder clubs.

As a basketball historian, Simmons knows his stuff.

As a mock GM, he's a fricking idiot. I wish he would have gotten the Timberwolves job so he could have been an even worse disaster than Kahn.

Not the case for the following:

OKC
MEM
IND
POR
SAS

The only reason those small markets not pictured above have become feeders is due to shite gming by the david kahns of he world

I don't want to be all conspiracy theorist, but I wouldn't be surprised if Stern and the powers that be behind the scenes DO actually view small market teams like that

Does anyone think this franchise is even pointed in the right direction? Let alone heading that way?

I mean with the personnel we have or could acquire. Evans is a meh. Gordon sucks. Rivers sucks. What is this team's plans for getting better?

Tyresus is NOT meh

EG has his moments but will probably be gone soon

Rivers has shown improvement in many areas(FT shooting/Finishing/3s) and is a good asset to develop.

We want to acquire a center(like asik) to take pressure off AD

Everything else falls into place after

We blew up the whole build through the draft plan. And totally busted on Rivers.

Honestly I really don't know. People are still telling themselves that when healthy we're a contender with this roster. An 8 seed, yea. Contender? Not even close.

Not sure where we really go from here, except more or less starting over around Davis.

alright fine... he's ok. Dude can't shoot worth a frick. I guess maybe if we had someone else who could his ability to get to the rim would be of more value
