Let's take their advice and do that in Kentucky.

quote:

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell runs dead even with Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes in Rasmussen Reports’ first look at the 2014 U.S. Senate race in Kentucky. But McConnell’s GOP primary rival Matt Bevin leads Grimes by four points.

McConnell tied with the Democrat Challenger, while tea party primary challenger Matt Bevin leads the Democrat by 4 points.

It's clear we must go with the more electable candidate in Kentucky and that is Matt Bevin.

I know I do.

I expect Dems to frick me over and be traitors, so when they do so, it's not a surprise.

I tend to want to hold GOPers to their word/ promises; therefore, when they act like Dems, I am disappointed.

How could they not? One says they're going to screw you over and does. The other says that they are 100% on your side and then turns on you when you need them the most. Obviously, the one who lies to you is more contemptible. You always hate a false friend more than an honest adversary.

Think about this, in The Revolutionary War, who was more despicable: General Howe or Benedict Arnold?

A lot of big name RINO's need to get purged. The party needs new blood and to be revitalized. Who I'd like to see gone:

McConnell
McCain
Graham
Boehner
Shelby
King
Alexander

Who I'd like to see take over leadership:

Rand
Lee
Cruz
Gowdy
Ellmers

Kind of like Lugar vs McIntosh in Indiana? Or maybe O'Donnell vs Castle in Delaware?

I simply don't understand. The spectrum of ideological alignment large for those who identify as Republican has always been large over the years of the modern-GOP. Much moreso than Democrats. The range from moderate to ultra-Right Wing is traditionally so vast, yet you would think this is a brand new thing since the Tea Party faction came around. Funny how the supposedly-deragatory term "RINO" has sprouted up since over the past couple of years.

One says they're going to screw you over and does. The other says that they are 100% on your side and then turns on you when you need them the most.

None of you seem to understand that being moderate is absolutely vital in order to even be considered for election in much of the United States. You can't expect complete solidarity on every issue just because Republicans are supposed to hate Obama, especially on social issues. Bashing "RINOs" for wanting to do things like compromise shows just how shitty the Republican party has become during the Obama years.

quote:

Obviously, the one who lies to you is more contemptible. You always hate a false friend more than an honest adversary.

Again, it is dumb to expect complete solidarity in politics. You call it "contempt," yet the rest of the world calls it voting in favor of what they believe, which happens to not fall in line with the plan of the far Right.

Think about this, in The Revolutionary War, who was more despicable: General Howe or Benedict Arnold?

This is hilarious. Is this how you truly see moderate Republicans? If so, our party is so fricked.

I'd rather be stabbed in the face than in the back.. at least in the face you know it is coming

Currently we do not have an opposition party in this country, just Big Government and Big Government Lite. Until we get a true limited government opposition party I will not enable RINOs

When the Republicans took over the House in 94, they were the overwhelming base of the Party. They would be considered Tea Partiers today. The Dem's in 94 would be considered today's Moderate Republicans. The shift left in the party is unmistakable. The base is getting sick of it.

I'd love to know where/when this secret meeting was held for all Republicans in which a pact was made to always vote the same, regardless of issue.

Seriously, the Tea Party does NOT represent the entire partisan scheme of the Republican party.

It is funny how you refer to them as "traitors," though.

This is largely from the emergence of the Tea Party sitting so far right that a push left had to be made.

Not really. I don't know how old you are, but if you are old enough to remember where the party once stood on some issues. You would realize how wrong your statement is.

Under the current GOP house... we have gotten tax increases, debt ceiling increases, spending increases, trillion dollar omnibus spending bills, the only spending cut(Sequester) during the time was reversed with Paul Ryan's budget, no serious effort at defunding or repealing Obamacare, and more. And lately we are having the GOP leadership meet behind the scenes to push an amnesty bill.

I don't know about you but that doesn't sound conservative to me, that sounds like big government. I know, I know, we just got to hold our noses and vote GOP, becasue they are slightly less worse than the democrats, and maybe one day they will fight for conservative principles
