Wife had a gift certificate so we went there not knowing what to expect. Walked in and it had the old time locals restaurant vibe to it. Was kind of scared this was going to be an Andreas experience
Most of the things ordered were specials for the night.
Appetizer:
Tempura Lobster tail with some jicama slaw.
This was incredible.
Calamari with a citrus wine sauce. Flavors were good but calamari pieces were kind of weak.
Entree:
Sea Scallops with a brie risotto. Probably best scallops ive ever had. Plump scallops cooked perfectly.
SLOW ROASTED DUCK
Pan seared breast, duck leg confit, andouille and cornbread dressing, huckleberry glaze. Really good dish as well.
Was shocked at what a great restaurant this little hole in the wall off transcontinental wound up being. Thanks to whatever parents gave my teacher wife the gift certificate

It's definitely one of the best in Metry.

Place is solid. Haven't been in a while but always enjoyed it.

Probably most underrated restaurant in the New Orleans area.

They always seemed to have alot of specials to choose from.
I haven't been in a few years, but Cypress was always solid.

Extensive menu with excellent food. I did not think I would find a NOLA quality place like this in Metry.
