Also, we know Jeremy Comeaux well and his brother.

I missed it, was Jeremy his supervising physician?

I did't see anything mentioning Jeremy. I hope he's not involved; great guy & great doctor.

Was one of the PA's involved a young-ish guy with dark hair & dark skin? I forgot the guy's name, but he was always assisting Jeremy during my nerve blocks & epidurals. Pretty chatty guy with a good sense of humor.

My only sibling died young of an opiate overdose. No telling the actual human cost of something like this, or the families in disarray. I drive by that damn place every day.

So he was the one getting the scripts and filling them?

Don't they have a tv commercial that has been playing recently?

From what I remember I think Chris (the PA) had red hair.

No Jeremy wasn't mentioned and I don't know how or why his name came up but I saw "dr Comeaux" mentioned in this thread.

I doubt Jeremy was involved. He's a solid guy and a good Dr.

With all due respect to the PAs, APNs, etc. you shouldn't be allowed to prescribe CII. They can't in Arkansas.

Hydrocodone 10/50mg or 20,370 dosage units X street value of $5.00=$17,700
I can get that much for it

I truly feel for your loss, but having been a patient there for 6 months, I can tell you that other than the bullshite mentioned in the OP, that place isn't some kind of pill mill or anything.

It's one thing to give the benefit of a doubt to a sketchy looking guy with an obvious pain generator (post laminectomy syndrome type). It's another thing to straight up get your friends to fill scripts to sell on the secondary market.

I know nothing. Just commenting that families that have lost their own often wonder how Jr got his hand on 50 Oxy pills. And yeah, I think I heard a radio spot last week. Moscona maybe?

I'm not suggesting this doctor is at fault in this but I do know there are several pill mills in this town. This shite floods our streets creating real hard core drug addicts. Everyone involved in this needs to get the hammer if convicted.

I'm surprised he thought he could get away with it. I mean, the DEA is informed of every narcotic written. There's a damn paper trail and the government keeps track of it.

I would never write any scheduled drug for any one other than a patient of ours where everything is properly documented. It's a good lesson to see from afar.

If it's not a postoperative patient or a well established chronic pain patient, PA's shouldn't write narcotics IMHO.

BTW PAs can't write for schedule 2 in LA, so I'm not sure how he was getting away with writing oxycodone and adderall in the first place. Something smells fishy.
