So, starting with 32 million uninsured persons, the fed govt spent $640 million just for the software to get less than 10% of them to sign up?

Assrob, that 3 million enrolled only equates to a 10% enrollment of the 30 million so-called, uninsured.
Onward. Success!

It will not stand in its current form. It will be changed.

The core of the bill remains the same. Individual mandate stands.

Sure it does...in theory. We'll see for how long responsible folk paying for irresponsible folk's care...lasts.
Anybody wanna bet that the Congress, Obama, Congressional Staff and anybody with a stake in this pony...don't ride the pony.
God only knows what the good folk will do when this thing kicks in...and kicks their asses.

I don't agree with the premise of your question.
And cry me a river about party line politics. This is the same thing being carried out by house republicans.

When will this scary boogy man every appear? We were warned that the country would cease to exist the day the bill passed. We were warned freedoms would be lost the day Obamacare kicked in.
None of that happened... BUT I'll keep waiting for that day to come.

To be Obamacare compliant my monthly bill went from $430 to $1055 a month with slightly higher deductibles. Do I have a "boogey man" or a legitimate concern, in your opinion?

Uh, the government straight said I was obligated to consume a specific product the day it kicked in and that I would be fined if I failed to do so.
I'm not sure how you define freedoms in your world but I rather liked not being obligated to purchase something just because I exist. But hey, all for the greater good of the insurance companies right?

Firstly, my premiums went up too even though I'm a single male, no pre-existing condition and I don't smoke. So frick you and your moral high horse.
Premiums were going to go up regardless of what kind of reforms that would have been passed that included riskier people being covered.
Your concern is legitimate. Mine too.

Ok so 3 million have obamacare plans. How any of those now have plans that are worse than the ones they had before obamacare - that is higher deductibles and higher premiums? What is the net enrollment - how many have lost their plan because of obamacare? I can't remember the exact number but it is greater then 3 million. How many of the new enrollees are the sick, who are receiving massive subsidies, and how many are healthy young adults who must purchase plans in order to actuality keep the health insurance market from crashing?

Another little boy who gets asked an honest question in a respectful manner and unravels.
Ok son. I understand that you are cheering for a team here and not understanding that I am just challenging you to defend your argument by introducing you to another point of view.
I have four dependents, all healthy. Not a single health issue or medical prescription amongst us.I think Obamacare will cost me an extra 9k a year when all is said and done. For that 9k the only improvement I get is slightly better prescription coverage. It's not about "So frick you and your moral high horse" it's about millions of productive Americans receiving letters, calculating the cost, and realizing that their prospects have just changed for the worse.
Seriously son. Someday you will be a man. Your team will be your family. And your whole life will be basically in the service of others. And you too will stress about the government complicating your life, and diverting your money from your family and their quality of life, towards free loaders with a grievance and a sense of entitlement.
Someday, son... Not today...but someday....

quote:There has never in the history of the country been another instance in which a President's signature effort was passed along 100% party lines. Never. Not once. So either you haven't the foggiest clue as to WTF you are talking about, or you have a uniquely bizarre definition of the term "jammed".
Jammed through?Hardly.
The choice to jam Obamacare through in a wholly partisan manner was one of the least politically astute decisions any of us have seen in our lifetimes. The fact you not only don't recognize the "jamming", but you also don't recognize the stupidity of it, is interesting.
It is the sole reason the website fiasco is overwhelming -- Congress cannot be approached for amendment. It is the sole reason the role-out of employer mandates with 40 million kicked into Obamacaid looms ominously this fall -- Congress cannot be approached for amendment. It is the reason Obama has has to break the law and unilaterally change the legislation -- Congress cannot be approached for amendment.
I am actually pleased there are some who are still following the Yellowbrick Road. It will yield the post-mandate world just that much more politically shocking.

If you actually got kicked to the Obamacaid Exchanges, and are happy about the quality of the product, you have not yet tried to access care.

Another little boy who gets asked an honest question in a respectful manner and unravels
And on top of that, I pay taxes, I work, I have health insurance but because I support the ACA, some how I'm viewed as a free loader or someone who feels entitled.
I appreciate the lecture about responsibility (not being sarcastic) but I do have loved ones that I know have benefited from this law.

Again name one piece of massive legislation jammed through on a party line vote.
