Two senior members of Gov. Chris Christie’s administration warned a New Jersey mayor earlier this year that her town would be starved of hurricane relief money unless she approved a lucrative redevelopment plan favored by the governor, according to the mayor and emails and personal notes she shared with msnbc.

The mayor, Dawn Zimmer, hasn’t approved the project, but she did request $127 million in hurricane relief for her city of Hoboken – 80% of which was underwater after Sandy hit in October 2012. What she got was $142,000 to defray the cost of a single back-up generator plus an additional $200,000 in recovery grants.

wonder why she didn't mention this back when it happened?

kind of makes you wonder if this isn't a coordinated scheme, huh?

Christie has all his moderate friends to have his back, doesn't need any help from us conservative types.

You could tell everything you wanted to know about Christie in his convention speech. He said nothing to affirm Romney. He only pumped up himself and his own accomplishments. Then, when Sandy hits, he acts like he all about New Jersey and positions himself for photo ops with Obama to show he is bipartisan. He wanted Romney to lose so he could have a shot in 2016. It was all a plan.

Now, the chickens are coming home to roost.

Fitting. Guy seems to care most about himself.

I think Team Hillary has pulled the trigger on Christie way too early. This is just going to pave the way for other, unanticipated threats to arise. And if he survives, this will be "old news" in 2016 - just like much of her baggage.

Maybe he said something uncomplimentary about her that got back to her? She can be extremely vindictive - to a fault...

Consider the source and why is this "new" and revealing information? Sandy was quite awhile back and she didn't think it was important then?

Ahhhhh American politics - gotta love 'em

While Obama uses the IRS and NSA as tools the media is worried about a traffic jam.

Easier path for Rand.

Did anyone know that Obama went to a church for 22 years where the pastor is vehemently anti American, that Obama was in communist organizations in college, and was friends with a terrorist bomber? I'm sure all of this was brought up in drawn out detail before Obama's first run for president? It wasn't? That's odd!

OK, so the media are now all over Christie for allegedly telling the mayor of Hoboken to do what he wants or her town won't get the recovery money.

How is that any different than the IRS going after conservative groups who were clearly not in Obama's corner? Where was the media outrage then?
